NEW THREAD - WEST LA LUNCH GROUP

The next Malibu drive lunch is April 28th. It's time to work Duke's back into the rotation. Always good food and easy parking there.

Plan to either meet us at the restaurant (Dukes's Malibu on PCH) at 12:00 or join us for the "unofficial" drive from Brentwood at 11:30. The meet up spot is the same: Meet on San Vicente Boulevard at Gretna Green. Its across the street from the golf course and 2 blocks west of Bundy.

I'm sorry to miss the ride and lunch. I'll be out of town. Hope to see you guys up at Laguna Seca if you are coming May 12-14.

 

Sorry we weren't able to make it Pasadena but add us to the Friday lunch. Plan on meeting you at Duke's but will let you know if we can make it to the SV and Gretna Green meet up point on Friday.

BTW for those who read this thread but have yet to join in person.....

Tracy and I went for the 1st time last month and here's a bit of insight on what it's like to go.

First it's a very laid back and unassuming gathering. Zero feeling of being judged around the table of who drove what or feeling like you are an outsider or not. Some around the table had exotics, some not. Got the feeling some folks were rich and some not. Cool part is, you couldn't really tell and felt it didn't matter. It's just both men and women celebrating the blessing of being in Southern California talking about cars, sports, food and the ever perfect weather of Malibu. It's also a great place to receive a recap upcoming events. And the food wasn't bad at all.

Just one mans opinion but we had enough fun we are going to try to go back again. Highly recommend to those who can, join in. If nothing else it's a great excuse to hang out with nice people, see some very nice examples of cars with the ocean as a back drop........which certainly doesn't suck.

I'll have to meet you guys at Duke's. What time will the convoy be arriving there?

 

That's quite an impressive list. I'd love to join you guys, but I got suckered into the Rally4Kids event in S.B.

 

We should arrive around 12:00+/- depending on PCH traffic. They usually let us self-park as a group on the far end of the parking lot next to the bar entrance (still have to pay though).

At Duke's we usually like to sit outside in the bar area but that is "first come" there. If you get there before the group, please see if you can secure a table for 10-12.

If we can't get a table outside, I have a reservation inside the restaurant (under Peter) for a group of 10 at noon as a back up. Looks like I may have to raise the count to 12.

 

Anyone else planning to join us? I'd like to get a final count in for the reservation.

This month's lunch date has rolled around quickly! As the usually "last Friday of the month" falls on the day before a 3 day weekend, we will be bumping it up to the 19th.
