Grundy Worldwide has an excellent program. Requires you to have another primary car, and a garage. But other than that, there are no mileage restrictions, agreed value, and good service (I've made a claim or two over the past 17 years and four Ferraris I have insured through them). They have an online app that allows you to get an instant estimate.

Which ever you choose, I highly recommend agreed value insurance.

State Farm insures my Lambo and Ferrari no problem, however rates went up about 30% in the past year, i moved to Bend and suddenly rates dropped 30%. Called my agent and they said portland is getting so big that crime and accident rates are also skyrocketing with our terrible traffic and newcomers.

American Modern since Allstate won't insure it. Nor would Ameriprise. On Speciale and my Scuderia from before. Paying $3.9k for Speciale. Is that in line with other folks?

May try State Farm since I hate managing two policies.

+1 for Grundy. I've insured four Ferraris, four Porsches and numerous other toys with them over the past 20 years and they are great to deal with.

X2 for Chubb. After they paid for the 140k issue on the f50, they won a customer for life. They're amazingly awesome and very ferraristi should use them. Ticker symbol is CB up 1700% since I've been a customer ;)

I always had Hagerty on my 308. Yeah it was only a 308 but it was agreed value, no deductibles, full coverage and no real restrictions other than should be stored in a locked garage. It was cheap too. I think I was up to $50k agreed value and it was still only about $500/year.

$140K issue on an F50 could be minor damage on any other car. :) Glad they took care of you.

Hmm. You're an agent - maybe you have special clout, but practically everything I have ever read suggests that a policy that is not an agreed value policy is pretty risky. What's your secret? Also, price clearly depends upon the car/car value/risk factors.

Because you will end up in a legal battle over the value of the car if the car is deemed "totaled". A huge problem with exotic cars and rare, collectible cars, because there are few "comparables" to easily gauge value. An "agreed value" policy eliminates any issue over valuation. If it can be reasonably fixed, it will be fixed, if totaled, it will be based on the "agreed value".

Sport Car Market magazine, which caters to the collector car market, recommends "agreed value" policies in their legal column, always. Their legal column covers insurance issues (disputes) at least a couple times a year, and they always summarize that an "agreed value" policy would have avoided the pitfalls of the story they covered
