Listing for my dad. His immaculate 1993 Porsche 928 GTS. Black on black, automatic, comprehensive service history, and ~ 64,000 miles. One of the nicest and best-maintained 928's in the country, and one of only 406 GTS's ever sent to North America. PCA and 928 Owners Club member owned. Maintained by one of the top 928 mechanics on the east coast with no expense spared. Timing belt/water pump replaced in June of 2015 (to include a Porken Tensioner), flex plate replaced with a reinforced unit in 2012, both ECU's were rebuilt in 2011. Car comes with a Porsche CoA. Has beaten a 928 that took first in Preservation at the PCA Parade on multiple occasions at local PCA shows. PSD was flushed in November of 2016. Car is 100% ready to go with all maintenance up to date. Front section (bumper cover, hood, front fenders) were repainted by a Porsche Approved body shop in June of 2016 to include new fog lights and gaskets (cost of approximately $8,000).

Car is located in Wilson, NC. Comes with all books/manuals, complete tool kit, and two keys. Please feel free to email me or to send a private message. Asking $65,000.

Thank you. Indeed there seems to have been a recent surge in demand for the manual GTS's. A few years ago the prices were determined more by condition than specification, but I suppose that things change. I'd advise people not to dismiss the auto in the 928 though, as it really suits the character of the car as a grand tourer. It's also an extremely reliable transmission and incredibly smooth (especially for being as old as it is).

As far as rarity goes, there's a lot of misinformation about the production numbers of manual vs automatic GTS's (I often hear 10-15% were manual). In fact, over 41% of GTS's sold in North America were manual, so the production numbers aren't too vastly disparate.

Such great cars. Even though automatic, i hope it finds a good home. These cars look SO much better in person than they do in photographs.

I have received a few requests for more pictures (specifically of the interior), so thought I'd post them here. The cargo cover is missing in the pics, as it is stored in a closet to prevent sun damage. It is in as-new condition and comes with the car.

There is absolutely no leather or vinyl shrinkage of any kind with the interior. Everything is in excellent condition, with only minor wear on the leading bolsters of the driver's seat (no cracking, just normal flexing of the leather). The leather is very soft and supple, the carpets are plush, the dashboard is in excellent condition with no cracks, and the rear quarter panels are not warped or pulling away from the windows (a very common issue). The interior is periodically disassembled and cleaned thoroughly (about once a year). The spare tire area is complete with the compressor, gloves, lug wrench, jack, and complete tool kit.

What is intersting in europe is that prices of high end car is significanly higher for almost all models and that despite the various govs administrations making every possible effort to kills these cars (gas guzzler and old polutters), including on the road restrictions like in Paris.

Thanks. Technically it's "sale pending." Looks like it will be going to a friend.
