There are too many of you for me to bother. The same vocal 8 or so people...one bad race for Lewis and you gloat. The records speak for themselves. It's clear that reasonable opinions are wasted on you

 

Lewis has star power among the millennials. Name a Nascar driver or IndyCar driver that kids can identify with now.

They can name the Kardashians too but they don't have any talent.

 

Not a proper analogy. Hamilton has three World Championships. Kim Kardashian has a big ass and is married to an even bigger ass.

I'm not the one saying that star power among millennials is somehow relative to the talents of someone, though. So he's good at being famous, so what?

I've always said that Lewis is a talented fella. However, his fanboys often calling him the GOAT or listing him among the true greats, it's simply not true. When you then get told you're a hater or don't recognize his talent, that rubs me the wrong way. However, that's all the elton fans ever do. If you don't say Elton is great, you're a hater and that's that, according to them.

If your opinions were reasonable I would listen to them but from what I have been reading you are nothing more than a fanboi.

 

So what if Lewis got beat to the World Championship last year by his team mate? He beat his team mate three other times to the title.

Prost was pretty good, right? Winning four WCs. Well, he got beat by his team mate, Lauda (by a half point). Does that diminish Prost? I don't think so.

Senna was pretty good, too. He got beat as defending World Champion, by Prost in 1989. He came back and won two more championships.

If you simply don't like Hamilton, fine. Say so. But to denigrate him based on his record is ridiculous.

 

Lewis lost to nico in a season where he had terrible luck reliability wise and nico had a perfect run. Had both cars been equally reliable Lewis would have taken it easily. Part of racing and well deserved to nico but to use this fact as evidence to diminish Lewis's ability is nonsensical. We have been over this before.

How are my opinions not reasonable? Need to fight fire with fire. There are guys here saying massa or Kimi could beat Ham in the same car. Admittedly it's probably said to incite a reaction as no one who follows the sport would reasonably think that.

I've never said Hamilton was the GOAT but it's pretty obvious by now that he's of the same caliber as Schumacher senna etc

I have said it before. The dislike of Hamilton comes from his antics and comments out of the race car. He is a good driver!

 

I don't know. I mean Hami wasn't really holding up against Rosberg.
In their mutual years at Mercedes the aging Schumacher tended to show better race pace still than Rosberg, mostly losing out by not having the edge on Saturday. So to me Schumacher still showed stronger on Sundays than Nico.

I don't see even on pace how that should go to Hamilton. He is a darn good qualifier and had some tremendously good cars. In their golden years the Schumachers and Sennas have been able to show quite some magic. Has Hamilton?

 

Lewis would've been far better served if he instead devoted his time this week to seriously debriefing with his team in an effort to figure out what went wrong for him at Sochi.

Not luck but poor choices and mistakes led to his loss. When the car is reliable you dont give your opponents points and wins. Period. Move on.....you are wrong about LH and last year. It was much more than reliability not being in his favor. Try objectivity to be credible here.

Admittedly all true. Even with all these blunders of his, he undeniably would've still won the WDC had his motor not gone kablamo at Sepang (Malaysia). Oh well, that's racing . . .

Elton isn't fit to polish their shoes, and deep down, elton knows it, let alone you. Why do you think he overcompensates so much - because he knows he is fast, but a total naive moron tactically. He lucked into a few championships with the help of some very biased management, and got beaten by the guy until last year you and your other fanboy friends were trying to convince everyone was rubbish.....

 

Why all that selective counting of incidents. As if Lewis didn't benefit from other people's bad luck? As if Lewis didn't benefit from Rosberg's technical problems? As if Lewis didn't benefit from being double gifted Monaco victory.

If you want to play the "what if" game do it properly and not in toil manner.

 

Anyhow, why are all the fanboys going on about how good they think elton is...... isn't this the elton 'sucks' thread, where we get to undermine him and make fun of him?
