2004 Ferrari Challenge Stradale - rebuilt

You have no idea how many times I have viewed the Ebay ad! What a beautiful car and an awesome reconstruction. Most rebuilds scare me to death when I think of owning them, but this was top notch work. Great job, and good luck with your sale. Hopefully for my sake, she is still available in 6 months.

Virtually every track car is re-constructed. The extensive modifications to any car to make it truly track worthy inevitably reach the threshold where "re-constructed" is the best and most applicable phrase.

Seems pretty clear to me he's not looking for a rebuilt title car.

 

I may have missed it, does it have a branded title?

 

Just wondering. Looking at one of the ebay photos, showing both CS's together, it seems that the Ferrari script is in a different place on each rear deck lid. Any idea why? (not suggesting anything suspicious, just curious). The car looks great btw.

Has the car been lowered from stock ride height? I have not read the rebuilt thread yet, so I apologize if that has been covered.

When was the last major service performed? I didnt see (or missed) that listed in the description.

 

Wow this is something. And the "major" on a 360 is not such a big deal if everything else but the belts was done. The belts are the easy part with the access panel.

So the car has been lowered and then aligned I presume. I am not going to read the whole thread but was the frame-unibody at least checked for square and measured? If the car aligned well and tracks straight then this might be a heck of a steal for a marked title car. The story itself will balance that and in the long run make it a good bargain. If I hadn't already gotten my spider last year, I would seriously consider this one. I already rescued a 348 and it won an award at Concorso Ferrari & Friends in 2015. Sadly that one got hit bad by a distracted kid and yes the unibody was out of square too far. Saved my life though. Little tank.

 

Agreed. Hold it long enough and you won't get hurt on resale. Plenty of F40s with stories still sell for beaucoup bucks.

Weird little detail I noticed. The right rear wheel has the new style center cap while the other 3 wheels have the originals. For $100, I'd get them all wearing the new ones (deeper yellow).

I skimmed through the rebuild thread. Did the CS come with CCBs or you retrofitted them? Also, with the suspension lowering and use of F430 Scud sized tires, did you also roll the fenders? The 360 is sorta infamous for having issues in this regard with even stock suspension and tires.

What an incredible bargain. Only a 30% premium over what I just sold my 'no option' gated 360 for a few weeks ago.

 

Oh man I just spent all morning drooling over this car. If only I can get rid or trade my 430 I would be seriously tempted.
