Since the real challenge wing involves changing the entire rear deck lid and are next to impossible to find I've been eyeing out the one for sale on eurospares. Has anyone purchased this? Does it simply bolt right on to the rear deck lid?

Ken.. Maybe you can make up a replica for us wannabe 355 owners ? :)

Any close up shots mounted on a car?

    thanks!

My understanding is that you can't just bolt a wing to the deck lid without some kind of support without risking damage to the deck lid. On my car there are rods underneath the deck lid and dzus fasteners on each side to make sure that there is no twisting under load. I think SoCal has a deck lid and wing for sale in the Classified section if that helps.

Are you referring to part #177829? The Tubi "challenge" wing? If so, here's the best pic I got ...

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find this Tubi wing to be that appealing. Looks too small for the car.

And it seems you have to remove the wing to get in the bay.

Good point. Unless it bolts to the underside of the deck lid and lifts with the deck lid when you open it up.

There is really no way of getting around drilling you deck lid. I bought a spare one since i dont want permanently change anything stock.
The under support brackets and rivets are a must and can be bought from ferrari of houston. I have not installed the hood prop or the support rods that go from the support bracket forward to the deck or the dzus fasteners. Those will be coming soon.

The mounting brackets on that picture shows they turn inward and although they overlap the outside enough to likely scratch it, it appears they still screw into the lid

All the Tubi wing does is block the rear view mirror, and sit in stagnant airflow....

Maybe its just me.. big wings on f355s scream ricer and cheapen the otherwise beautiful look. Didn't ferrari spend a ton of time wind testing the f355... on a track car, maybe i could see the appeal, but is there a problem with down force and then at what speed does it work? Is the increased down force off set by drag etc etc.

On a street car with a speed limit of 85mph, i would think it would belong on your husbands Hyundai. Lol.

Show us the bill when you have to repair your deck lid holes later on.

Obviously it is a personal choice. Not my cup of Tea on a street car but on any challenge car I have seen like Tims, Robbs, and Bobs, I think all those would look terrible without the wing.

They look really good when your behind them on the track. I think the 355 wing looks the best of the last 4 models in challenge trim. Dont really like 360 430 458 with wings but I am biassed.
