I am getting some great ideas. I'm moving into my new house on May 20, and a car barn will be next on the list of projects. The plan is for a 40X60 foot structure with a lift for cars and a lift for motorcycles. I will post pictures when it is completed.

Finally got my new garage space settled (actually it's a `car condo' I purchased), allowing my little collection to be in the same place at the same time. Still a bit of a work in progress, but sure beats using self-storage plus now my daily driver is back in my (home) garage.

My little menagerie of Italian cars and one new German one that has more HP than than the 3 combined. I restored a home built in 1922 - surprisingly it has a lot of garage space, just really narrow stalls which fit the cars of the time well but are way to narrow now.

Wow. Gorgeous collection. Do you Vintage race your Zagato? Love the SS too, they are very handsome cars.

 

I have not raced the Record Monza but have restored it to as delivered condition. It is one of the 20 or so of the 200 produced with the original Columbo designed twin cam engine. I am going to show it at the Radnor Hunt concours this summer - then will start using it.

After prodding from my son, I finally got off my butt and started working with an architect for what I call The Car Barn. Simple design, 40 by 45 feet. I think 1800 sq.ft. will be big enough for three cars, four motorcycles, an automobile lift, a motorcycle lift, machine tools (lathe, mill, drill press, etc), air compressor, etc.

I plan to check with the County tomorrow to see if all the specs will meet the County's Building Codes before I proceed any further. We had some vicious windstorms here this past Winter. I would hate to have the building collapse.
