Thank you for this great compilation of commentary - really nice to have in one place. I don't get the gripe about the grip (so to speak). Let me give my own experience. Yes, the F12 can easily break the rears loose under hard acceleration (from a standing stop or even in 5th gear), but its 740 bhp! Hello? As far as grip where it really counts - track cornering at high speeds, - I don't think this guy is taking the downforce into account. To compare an F-Type to an F12 just demonstrates a very strange kind of perspective. Are there cars grippier than the F12? Yes, of course. Are there cars that have the F12's combination of power, handling and grip (at speed) in a real world track situation? Precious few, and the F-Type, while not a bad car, is most definitely not among them.
Lorenzo, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience on the F12 I appreciate. When I read that review made by someone which I believe is much focused on drag-racing, I almost laughed when I arrived to the text part where he compare the F-type with the F12. I also like the F-Type but I know it belongs to a different galaxy of the one where is the F12.

A remarkable achievement.” SUPERCAR OF THE YEAR 2012 Top Gear “Ferrari F12. At the risk of sounding like I’ve quaffed freely at the charming Dario’s Kool-Aid, the F12 is just extraordinary. What sort of car is the Ferrari F12? Regal but not intimidating. Blitz-fast but not scary. Ridiculously brainy but never distant. Far better than me, without patronising me. Breathtakingly beautiful, did I mention that?” DESIGN AWARD 2013 Autodesign & Styling The Pininfarina design team has won the AutoDesign Award for the design of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.
