I think a 918 Spyder also generates 1.1+Gs of acceleration and the torque figures are quite high as well. 0-60 around 2.4s?

Yes correct on all counts. Nothing except a Tesla Model S P100D will launch you harder from 0-60 mph and then the 918 basically crushes everything aside from Laferrari/P1/Chiron.

Actually... I forgot... thats no longer accurate.

The Demon does it. It launches harder and has the highest recorded G's... as well as acceleration.

W drag radials, no seats other than driver, and skinny front tires yes you are correct. I'd imagine with a regular set up on road tires you'll just spin the tires for a while. I'm not saying the Demon isn't awesome, mind you.

Ya but it comes on drag radials.... I don't think the passenger seat is going to make any difference in the acceleration. Nothing significant at least. Same with the fronts.

So get those rear sticky and hold on.

Also likely to be at 30-50k less than the tesla roller coaster... so there is that.

I believe stats on demon are 1.8g acceleration and 2.3s 0-60 so pretty much in its own world. Lets see what chiron can do to top that

For cars currently in production, it's Demon, Chiron and Tesla to 60 mph all neck and neck I'm assuming. After 60 mph though, Chiron would pull the other two like they're standing still. It also costs 20x as much as a Tesla and 30x as much as a Demon.

While the Tesla does deliver gobs of direct torque at 0 mph, I will take the Hellcat in a race of a 1/4 mile or longer anytime.

Add to the fact that the Tesla's software automatically reduces power significantly after a couple of full power launches to help preserve the drivetrain....just say'in.

The current P100D does 10.5 seconds in the quarter mile at 125 mph. That will demolish a hellcat, unless the hell car runs on slicks. The Tesla pulls hard now until 120 mph and it's a hatchback sedan guys. It's a seriously impressive performance machine.

    exactly...

My other favorite thing is when people quote the all 700ftlbs of torque at 0 or 1 rpm. That is not a comparative stat with any real value. An internal combustion engine never runs at 1 rpm.

That's just crazy power. Anyone who buys one should have to take a class in how to handle that kind of power.

demon has 800 on pump gas and 840 with high octane and optional chip. chiron is almost double the power. should need a F1 license for that one

We learned that a bunch of cars have caught up to and maybe surpassed the Viper the last 5 years or so. Ford GT (old one) probably in that category too.

But for a long time, it seemed the Viper was all alone.
