And to install the hydraulically assisted clutch you also get to modify the existing plumbing ... one more thing to add to the project! Wish they would have put the hydraulically assisted clutch on the Bora .... that car needs it. Ivan
Thanks for the offer but I need to let my finances recover before I start spending any more money on the car. Luckily this gives me plenty of time to work out the best route forward!
Don't ever drive a Countach then. The Bora's clutch is pretty mild by comparison to an 87 DD. But in heavy stop and crawl traffic they're both miserable. In fact stick with the automatic!
I agree. However, since the last full clutch job about six months ago, the pedal has been significantly lighter than it has ever been. Not quite sure why. Regards. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
Surely it can't be too difficult to retrofit the clutch system to a Bora if one really wanted to. Best, Jack.
Too true, Bob, and it would be quite a time-consuming project too. Think of it though, you already have hydraulic pressure at the pedal box, sooo... Not advocating the above, just saying it can't be too difficult. I fully understand that Bora-owners look at this Khamsin-only feature with envy, but it should be discussed in their yard, not ours Best, Jack.
Hi, I am new to this forum. I am excited about my Khamsin just being repainted in the original "Oro Keslo" Stefan Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello all, Hyper busy the last couple of weeks, welcome to the owner of this car, which is 032, none other than the Due mille ruote auction car AM120.032 of late last year which some of you will remember as one of the cars in the infamous seized vehicles auction in Italy late last year -then silver- which had been represented with a false identity (as 096) before we were able, with RM Auctions and Maserati Classiche to ascertain its identity as AM120.032. It was silver in the auction but oro kelso new and I am very happy its new owner is bringing it back to its original oro kelso color -same color as my ex car a decade ago By the way the buyers of the cars in that auction, all from a collection seized by the Italian government, are finally getting their documents, such is the sloooow way of Italian bureaucracy. In other news a one owner Khamsin has just emerged, right hand drive, in Rome, you can't make this up, stranger than fiction, will tell more about it when I have a minute. This weekend I will be at the Spa Classic in Spa Francorchamps, Belgium from tomorrow afternoon to Sunday for the historic races and auction, let me know, message me, if you will be there as well. Will catch up for other posts above when I have a minute. Roger, good find, never heard of that other black Khamsin in Lebanon, excellent to see another emerge. The other one you refer to is AM120US1302, one of the very last US cars built, which spent years in the New York area, stored (as its young owner had lost his driver's license and was traveling), then in Lebanon and now Belgium in a private museum (photos). Hi Bob, The first K I drove, 20 years ago this summer, had those same colors and yes it emphasizes the glass openings, the rear end in particular of course. That was AM120US1234 during Maser Miglia in Colorado. Best regards, Marc
Hello Marc I seem to remember you wrote that 1302 had a black interior, so the interior would have changed to red; looks original to me though, rather than redone? was it not the black car for sale in Austria by TVK CLASSIC CARS before going to Belgium ? Best regards, Roger
Hi from Spa Roger, am in a hotel chock full of Astons! The photos above are 1302. Perhaps it had a color change yes. No 1302 arrived from the uS with the US bumpers, got Euro bumpers then as sold to Belgium the black car in Austria was 404 a Euro car. There is another black car that came from the US to Austria in recent years which was 1050. Photos attached... Ivan as a suggestion there is a 3 or 4" clutch booster fitted to many 4wd and Trucks. Also changing the release bearing to a concentric typr is a big plus.If I owned one of the other V8 Maserati I would also fit a booster. My 456 has a concentric type and its quite light and smooth.
Just love this car.. Also love the automatic.. If anyone hears about one for sale please let me know.. Thanks..
Mike hello, Yes I have the car I mentioned in mind for you, have just been swamped sorry, will get back to you asap. Best regards, Marc
Hello all, Khamsin AM.142 just emerged from 20 years of slumber near Rome where it was in a 60 to 70 car collection which is why I did not know this one, yet another to come out of the woodwork It is a sleeping beauty meaning the engine has not been run or even turned by hand in years so the job list is a question mark but it is supposed to be quite a healthy car, no cancer. Non matching numbers. Will update. Best regards, Marc Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hi Roger! It was my client who found it not me I have it on hold, heading down to inspect it for a client next week. Will share photos after he decides either way.
Hmmmm! No and with all the time I spent in Florida I never knew of this one, do you have contact info for that workshop? Best regards, Marc

Well I thought this must be the one that was discussed some weeks ago but that was 110 so this is yet another one! Looks like a very original interior. Nose vents maybe not original? Remarkable red switch in the dash between the two window switches.
Hello Roger, AMLC, -Thanks for the Florida car info will call them this week. -AMLC it must be spring they are appearing like poppies in the fields Am inspecting it tuesday near Mantova will look at il bottone misterioso I think 142 should have been born with the nose slats so most likely original. Engine is non matching and also frozen but on tuesday we will try to seduce this lady into dancing Then on Wednesday I get to spend my birthday in Modena and it will be bright sunshine woohoo! A good extended weekend to all, Marc
