Completely agree, but Ferrari will be the only team that will be caught by this. I honestly think their water containers are filled with red wine during some races ;)

Stroll will not make it 3 laps into the race! Unfortunately every race he does is making the New Zealand Toyota Series that he won look more and more irrelevant to a young racing driver ... :(

I guess i am one of the few who gave Stroll a fighting chance initially,he has had a bit of bad luck initially, and is a lot further behind Massa generally in qualifying, he was .4 behind Massa in Spain Q1 but then did not improve as Massa did ...

Yes Monaco will be very tough .we will see.he has now finished a race at least ...so hope he can improve on that!

Stroll crashing in Monaco is a certainty. The unknown, is how many others will he take with him...

Is it? He's suggesting Stroll will be on the track long enough to be lapped!

It's ok - he will get more than one chance as he's bound to be lapped several times. Just once would be a definite improvement on past form.

Probably while Stroll is ending his first lap ;) :D

It will be embarrassing if he is not the first to cause a safety car though as I'm not sure he will be faster than the SC ... imagine holding the SC up ... roflmao!

I wonder if Steam Stroller's (he paves the road for his boy) financial agreement with Williams is $35M PLUS parts costs.

Knowing what he's actually paid...Williams will still come out on top, even if they manage to finish last in the standings.

That said, I bet if he stays like this and wants to drive again next year, they'll ask for a lot more...

    And who's fault is that?????

Who wanted to jump into F1 at the age of 18?

I've said this before. I saw an interview with Stroller and I've seen older looking people working in an In and Out Burger.

    I think Stroll thinks we're all "jag-offs".

He's just not ready for F1 now or possibly ever. Jr Formula success is not a always a good indicator of success in F1. How much worse can it get LOL. He's stuck now and the verdict rendered soon, well before the end of the season will direct his future in or out of F1. I personally have no idea or opinion on what might happen. Overall he is not showing Max like potential.

Strolls father should have started him in a backmarker team instead of tier 2 team like Williams. At least he would have been in the back to see if he had potential his first year.

It could be worse. He could be called Palmer.

+1, all eyes on you....what did he expect? To no one notice?
100%, exactly. He never had an obvious talent, just had (By far) the best equipment bought for him and worse spec for his teammates, even then he barely looked any better. You can fake it in the lower formulae but you can't in F1.
+1 Piquet JR being a prime example I guess.

I honestly don't know what went through the Stroll's heads. Was it some sort of bragging rights thing, to get him into F1 after seeing what Max was doing? Did they think they could go toe to toe with Max?

They should've let him mature, perhaps in F3.5 if they didn't wish so many eyes to be on him. Could've done the secret Williams testing (like he was doing anyways) with much less pressure, evaluate him then and announce his entry when he was ready...but what they did instead was announce him when he wasn't ready at all. Shot themselves in the foot big time.

Can he get better? Well it's a situation of can't get much worse is it? Even so, can he improve by 1.5 seconds? That's a HUGE ask. And that's to Massa...Whose far from his best!

Toe to toe lol. I dont recall anyone stating the Stroll talent level was remotely close. The obvious answer is money and he could sorta be expected to do ok / grow as the season goes. This is simply a resource situation that Williams has decided to take advantage of as offered by the family.

I meant follow in his footsteps, a bit like ''well if he can do it, why can't Stroller?''

Oh completely understand. I think you are correct in that 'mindset' in the Stroll domain!
