Trying to buy a car right now. Two were sold from under me in a day of being listed. Not a fcar. All comes down to supply and demand at any given time .
Comes down to the car. A 360 I was looking at in September is still for sale. A 4 series CPO car listed for $40k back in November I was interested in is still for sale with price cut to $32,800. A couple of Porsche 911 I was looking at, ready to make an offer, sold before I could make the deal. Decided I want a winter place in FL more than another car and end up needing more garage space like someone else around here. (Well, mine would be more of along the lines of another car sized shed.) Yes know the area well. One of those places always nice to go to and nice to go back home. I never get tired of that. Love tropical winters, FL still beats Costa Rica.
I guess he still wouldn't have gotten a test drive, but it would have been funny if he called their competition and bought one over the phone, in front of the salesperson.
Because it was in Florida for sale, DOT ok'd the importation of a lot of modern foreign cars based on one fact, they are very similar as in emissions and all, so they allowed 355s and 550 and some others based on the year of manufacture they are allowed to be imported, a guy imported this one it ended up at an auction and I picked it up because it was a GTS.
You might try Michael Sheehan in Costa Mesa, CA, his number is 949 646 6086. No affiliation, just a super nice guy who helped me get a valid appraisal when my F355 was damaged during shipment to Guam. He seems to be able to find top tier cars, appropriately priced, but well researched and sorted. Trust me, you want that level of knowledge if you are interested in a F355.
We own three F355 already... we know the cars. The issue is simply lack of response. Sheehan doesn't like 355 anyway. Robb
