This Antique vehicle registration. We have something similar in the UK. I think it is a 40 years (rolling) thing. Currently any vehicle older than 1977 is exempt and (road fund) free.
I think the only use restrictions are by whatever insurance you take on your car.

Had a hearing in Santa Cruz in the morning, a telephonic appointment late morning, and appointments in Oakland in the afternoon.

Sooooo .... drove the Mondial down to Santa Cruz, then drove up highway 1, stopping periodically to take in the view. At one vista point, saw a girl who was doing some modeling, and offered the Mondial as a prop. She jumped at it, and took a whole bunch of pictures.

Then drove up the coast some more, took Highway 84 through the mountains, took 92 across the San Francisco Bay, then up to Oakland.

Beautiful day, and a great reminder of just how fortunate I am.

Small car show (about 100 total cars) put on by the Auto Tech dept of one of our local high schools. All judging was done by the students (about 60 of them).

Lots of interesting cars showed up. Lots of classic American iron and hot rods. Also some interesting stuff such as the Mach 5!

My primary competition in the exotic class was the 2013 Viper (with 5900 miles) and a Noble M12 (never had seen one before yesterday). The Viper took second.

Here's some pics from yesterday. Take a good look at the front end of the Mach 5 - It had circular saw blades - just like the cartoon!!!

    Sid

P.S - The police car was only there temporarily, providing pic opportunities for all to take advantage of. Of course, there were multiple pics of the kids posing in "arrest" positions!

I really love seeing restoration pics of Mondials. It's great that our models are receiving the love, attention and restoration that they deserve.

Hope to see many more in the future!!!!

I was at the UK (North West) FOC concours on Sunday. I sold this in Feb 2010 and it eventually ended up in a collectors collection (or maybe he was an investor I am not sure).
It re-surfaced last year at auction and went for £26k.
This chap bought it off that dealer for just a little more. I sold it for £9k. Today it is probably around £35k - £40k.

Anyway as soon as I arrived I spotted it over my friend Terry's shoulder.

That is a genuine smile and alone made my day. I spoke to the owner and we will hopefully meet up so I can get a picture of my 360 with it :)
If I had space and £40k. Though from what he said he would not sell it anyway :D

Just arrived at Canepa Design C&C on Saturday Scotts Valley, CA.
Nice car collection and great drive on hwy 17. My friend recently picked up his Ford RS so we've been getting the cars out to play.

The biggest car rendezvous in this area of France was held today near Bergerac. It is an annual event with most of the regional car clubs participating plus many individuals. I had the chance to meet up with another mondi owner with a very nice 89T that he imported from California. Also on hand was an absolutely perfect Dino. You can also see a bit of a 348 behind.

There was a huge range of vehicles on hand from WWII US military (including the buick 8 limosine used by Ike in England) to whole lines of Deux Chevaux and Porches and just about everything in between though mostly from Europe. Not much detroit iron is found here other than Mustangs.

A great day for car guys.

Thanks! I must admit I do not drive it as often as I should, but that makes each time even more memorable! :)

This "t" is the anti-poster child for those who claim that low miles car are problematic...

Yes, I have a "t" in the shape of a 1995 348 Spider and, like yours, I have just over 8,000 on the odometer. Reliability has never been an issue....finding time to drive her? That's a different story...

Nothing to do with a red light but I noticed one day at a stop sign the oil pressure was fine but the light saying it was low was illuminated. Did it several times trough the day. Found that there was a sender for the warning light only. got a new sender, installed and still had the same trouble. I am a white boy but I must be whiter than white. With my hand on the shift lever and the sun in the right location the reflection off of my hand made it appear the light was on. Still catches me of guard once in a while.
