Joe - please forgive my ignorance, but what does "TIPO" stand for?

Tipo is Italian for type, which in this context means model

ZFFTA46B000107050 first registered in the UK in August 1997 if that helps anyone.

I recall a silver f50 being crashed in the UK a couple of years ago and pics being in the papers.

UK hasn't been kind to F50's in the past couple of years, but at least the silver one is now back on the road. The other accident in Aug 2016 involved ZFFTA46B000106570 which was headed for auction. Any idea of its current status?

Given there was a fatality I imagine its still locked away as evidence?

If it had a UK registration I can have a poke about using that to see its current status

How about its MOT status Paul? that may indicate if its been repaired at all since the accident, or its ASKMID coverage, I guess it will be handed back to the consigning owner once the case is over unless they have made a claim against the storage companies or their own insurer.

I know some insurers give cars involved in fatalities a cat A status and they have to be crushed rather than salvaged.

The driver, Matt Cobden, proprietor of Toy Stor-Age in Hampshire will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 6 June 2017 facing a causing death by careless driving charge.

I just saw your answer. Thank you for the feedback. I agree F50s are finally seeing their well deserved love. IMO, it should even be priced above a 288, having a race detuned V12 should see to it.

    I wouldn't argue that notion.

That said, the reason the GTO commands what it does I think is, it was the first of the Ferrari Supercar Series, and will always be, built as it was with FIA Homologated Motorsports intent, using a twin-turbocharged engine just like the 1984 F1 car did. They are also rarer than any of the subsequent Supercars.

They are also the prettiest of the bunch, most usable and driver friendly and very easy to maintain. The last item is an integral part of the valuation of a great many boats, cars and airplanes.

The only thing wrong with the 288 is there were a few thousand too few built. It should have replaced the QV.

I think this sold shortly after Boardwalk had moved into their current home years ago. I remember a 333SP being on the show floor nearby it.
