This stuff is the answer.......I have been looking for years and tried EVERYTHING to get rid of streaks after cleaning my car glass. I was at Oreillys looking at the 100 different options and grabbed a salesperson. He says "this one" never tried it he says ........so I am thinking ? Why not, you won't be disappointed. Well that's good to hear. Been using stoners for years, will have to try this stuff Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Been using Stoners for years myself. I find with any glass the key is to using less product and have a good dry MF towel on hand after to wipe it a second time to remove any possible streaks....
I use SprayWay, there is nothing better for glass. However, the secret is clean, white cotton terrycloth towels. They need to have been bleached to death, and dried without fabric softener. You should use a perfect and clean microfiber towel to buff the 'cleaned' dry surface afterwards. A lot of times guys are switching between one glass cleaner to another, chasing streaks that are caused by a contaminated towel!!
Been using Sprayway for years, and it works incredibly well on glass. I also use a glass polish made by Zaino which keeps the glass free of built up road debris and makes Sprayway's job easier.
Sprayway and a fresh razorblade are exceptional for cleaning the outside of the windshield. You will be amazed how much stuff is left behind on the outside of a 'clean' windshield. I've never heard of using a clay bar on the inside of the glass, as most clay bars work with a 'detail spray' that is essentially a watered-down wax product. I'd assume that this would leave the glass quite streaky. A clay bar used on the outside should remove anything that is not the windshield glass, but you run the risk of getting the clay in the small chips and declivities on the windshield surface. There is also a small potential for picking up something else in the clay (glass chip, sand, debris, etc.) and scratching the glass.
Thanks for the tip. I ordered this from Amazon and noticed that SprayWay also makes a stainless steel cleaner, so I ordered some of that too. I haven't tried the glass cleaner yet, but the Sprayway stainless steel cleaner ROCKS. It is the best I've use for stainless by a very wide margin -- this stuff is a must have for anyone with stainless in the kitchen.
I've found that a clay bar after a good washing gets my windows really clean. Some Invisible Glass on the inside works really well too.
I've not tried the Skyway...but the stoner's is amazing stuff. I've cleaned everything from commodes to hardwood floors to complete motorcycles with it. Could probably wash dishes with it if one wasn't scared of what it might do to ya...
I really like this Just started using it Bought 3 more cans as spares Image Unavailable, Please Login
An even easier option is to use news print -- as in yesterday's newspaper. It sounds odd but it works and is lint free.
I have their Crazy Clean, All Purpose Cleaner on my shopping list. Supposed to be a great cleaner. I'll add their glass cleaner to my list too.
Castle glass cleaner. Streak proof glass cleaner. Use it inside or outside. Car or house. Great on house mirrors. Co. Is in Rochester ny. Supposed to not film, streak, haze. Good luck finding it. Sometimes with house cleaning products or auto.or more likely not carried.
I recently got a free bottle of Mothers speed glass and screen cleaner, and it works really well. I use it mostly on my 997 Targa, which has a lot of glass. Mothers® SPEED Glass & Screen Cleaner
I've used Stoner's for quite a while but grabbed a bottle of the sprayaway somewhere. I like it too. Either one seems to work great!!
Took your advise. Went to Costco and did get the 4 can set of glass cleaner. It works great. Windex just wasn't cutting it! Thank you!
