    Been wondering that for years. Still cheaper to replace the whole motor spool and cable assembly with the higher torque motor units being sold by t. Rutlands.

    But new spools are often delivered with old hard grease that needs to be cleaned out.

    I thought these were ALL new units with smaller higher torque motors. Thanks you saved me some $$$

    They may be getting reproduced. The last time I bought one it was NOS.
