Probably one of the best people to ask about the days of David Clarke's ownership is Bob Houghton. (Bob Houghton Ferrari - History)

Bob was David's only mechanic in the early days, before Graypaul was formally established.

P4 0856 was shown by Ecurie Francorchamps on their stand at the Brussels Racing Show in December, 1967 wearing number 23 roundels along with 412P 0850.

So beautiful. Anybody have more pictures of it during its time in Switzerland? Was it used by Obrist?

It seems Stroll does show it quite a bit (I wish i could cross path with it one day!).

Is this collection in existence like it appears on the picture or some of the cars changed hands?

    Thank you in advance.

My god. What an amazing sight. I wonder if he ever grew tired of admiring them.

    Thanks for sharing the photo.

I think a lot of them are no longer with Mr Obrist. I seem to recall reading the Bernie bought the whole lot at once. Or maybe just the racing cars.

In 1995 Bernie got all of Albert Obrist's cars (except the NART Spider #11057 and the 250 Cal Spider #2987 GT) and kept the single seaters only and in March 1998 resold the sports and prototypes which included 0856.

Yes, you correctly quoted Mauro Forghieri and miurasv is certainly one of the most acknowledgable of the few 'non-drivers', 'non-owners' and 'non-restorers'. Otherwise please consult directly David Piper, Mauro Forghieri or Ferrari regarding this very car.

There are 2 small separate pictures of 412P 0850 and P4 0856 with number 23 at the December 1967 Brussels Racing Show (Centre Rogier) on the Garage Francorchamps stand in the book Garage Francorchamps 1952 - 2002, A Ferrari Jubilee by Denis Asselberghs.

Can anyone explain the motor mounts as shown circled on 0856? And how can they be this way? I didn't think Ferrari did such a thing?

Are you trolling? You posted this question in the 0846 debate thread and it was answered - http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/report.php?p=145396243

Why do you think that? They are this way because Ferrari made them like this. Again, better picture here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144765331-post8227.html

Sorry, didn't think it was answered. It seemed the "added on" style mounts that looked like this on 0856, looked the same as Jim's car. And that was shot down as not being done by Ferrari, no? It seems to me if this is how Ferrari did it on 0856, couldn't it also be that way on Jim's car? Just wondering.
