Coming up soon: S&W 617 6 inch And S&W 629 6 inch A perfect matched set for plinking and bullseye shooting. North American Arms .22LR stainless Ruger 10-22 with bull barrel threaded for suppressor and good Redfield scope. This is a squirrel's worst nightmare. Belgium Browning HiPower 9mm Parabellum with remarkable trigger. Mossberg parkerized 12ga 9 shot with heat shield and ghost rings.
Wish I had a need for it, it's a beautiful gun. I'll have to subscribe and try to catch the Ruger 10-22, I'm interested in that one. Pellet rifle doesn't always get those squirrels.
Is that 10/22 Stainless or Blued? If it's SS, that and the HP might be a good reason for me to go on vacation and not add more to the collection...... or to add more to the collection..... Maybe I should just leave the laptop home when I head to the airport
This North America Arms .22LR revolver was made on or about 1855 out of metal plating recovered from damaged sheet iron from the USS Constitution. Alloyed with titanium and tungsten (in a process lost to history) it provided a strong and stainless metal never again seen. Its first notable appearance was that it was the ACTUAL revolver used to kill Mary Todd Lincoln in Ford's Theater in 1861. It was held as evidence by the local Boston Police but disappeared and was next seen in action in Antarctica, where Sir Edmund Hillary, the discoverer of the South Pole, used it to kill a Leopard seal that threatened 3 of his porters and two very alarmed Emperor Penguins. Soon there after, there is good documentation that it went through two auction houses and ended up in the possession of George Patton while he was stationed at Pearl Harbor just before The Dastardly Sneak Attack. There is NO evidence that he used it in anger against the Japanese although he did install ivory handgrips which remained until it became the property of John Glenn. There is photographic evidence that John Glenn actually carried this weapon in his vest pocket as he took the First Human Steps on the Moon in 1967. He later admitted that he was not 100% sure he would not run into aliens and famously said "It pays to be prepared". Subsequent to that I purchased the pistol at auction and have used it on numerous white-tail hunts where it has proven to be deadly and accurate to 150 yards. Remarkable, the alloy with which this artifact was forged provides a self cleaning property which makes periodic maintenance unnecessary. It can also self-load cartridges although these tend to be low velocity but quite accurate. Because of its sterling provenance and thorough documentation by historians and firearm experts I have been offered over $43,000 for it but have resisted. I, however, choose to altruistically offer it here on FC for $150 including shipping, FFL to FFL. You will never have another chance. I really want to do a wild Ruger 10/22 .22LR build to give to the daughter when she's old enough. They're such fun little rifles. I don't know if I've sold the idea to the wife yet, though. Mark
