Resurrecting this old thread as I have been wanting to do this little project for a while. I know this is the most minutia of all details but in my opinion it looks so great -

the orange/red Anza slash cut is an iconic exhaust tip........in early 90's I put a header and Anza exhaust with the slash cut orange/red tips on my 280z, best look ever !!!

later I had a VW Scirocco with a Monza exhaust, it came with same slash cut tips but yellow paint inside......

today, these tips are rare as hens teeth, even Anza aftermarket exhaust for other cars is the boring straight rolled tips blah.....I so wanted an Anza muffler on the back of my E46 330ci but nada to be found..............I thought of a custom but even the Anza tips are super hard to find these days

But that is how it was delivered when new. Maybe you should complain to ANSA? I like having cars restored to as new condition including all of the things that I love and hate.
