Curmudgeon-in-training that I am, I generally don't like bands goofing around with Joy Division/New Order tunes. However, that was a pretty good version. Harder edge than the New Order version, but good. Nice post, Nick!

Fastball? Wow, dog years since I heard that song. Another cool McG video. Cool factoid gleaned from Wiki - McG was replaced in a band by Mark McGrath, for what eventually became Sugar Ray. And with that, I'm to listen to Sugar Ray while working on this gnarly report. OK, back to work!

Yes, that's an awesome version from Orgy (1998), always loved that one.

Here's a few more of the same genre/time period.

I always wonder, without the visual element, would Marilyn Manson be so popular?

I'm past Sugar Ray and on to Elvis. Love, love, love the steel guitar (assume that is what it is) on this tear-jerker.

Not sure, and I'm not a fan of him or his other stuff. Just this one. And I was considered "old" when it was released.

I generally don't like them either, but once in a while you find these little gems on youtube.

Indeed. It was Shankar who got Harrison involved...

In the film, Harrison is asked by a reporter: “With all the enormous problems in the world, how did you happen to choose this one to do something about?” His simple reply: “Because I was asked by a friend if I would help, you know. That’s all.”

The above is from this URL. Really nice story. Beautiful person.
