I did infer that but I hope my comment came across very tongue in cheek! GTE battle has been great, the BOP has finally worked. Seems they took a page from the Blancpain series book!

 

So the leading Porsche has dropped the pace to around the same as LMP2 cars ..hmmm

After all the promise of Toyota it ends up a taxi cab ride.

You have to wonder if Toyota will keep trying until they succeed. At some point, just like they did in F1, they may say "Eff it". Then Porsche can win every Le Mans!

 

well yes i guess they turned down the heat a bit.however if they run into a problem the gap will not be as much as it could have been.

Eurosport reporting that Toyota spent Euro 500 mio on their Sport Car effort so far...i guess they might pull the plug. The No 8 is circulating around 23 laps behind.

 

It will be interesting. They may win the WEC title again but will still have failed at LM. Then again with the proposed rule changes the cars will most likely stay the same next year because they'll need to change up for the following two years. If they were to quit they should do it after the initial investment is irrelevant I'd think. Who knows though. ACO also won't want them to leave as you can't have a one marque top class.

 

What will Ford say if the Ferrari beats them this year?

 

The leading Porsche needs to fly off the track for this to become interesting again.

 

GTE pro is pretty darn interesting though.

 

And as I asked at the time....what are Vaillantes? Brave ones???
