Hi guys, im thinking about getting a FF which i will be using DAILY in Dubai where i'll probably do round 8 to 10 000 KLM / year.

Would you recommend a FF for this or something else like perhaps a California? Or not a Ferrari at all?

I've looked at a few models from 2012- 2013 with around 20 000 to 25 000 klm and i have some concerns regarding maintenance etc should i be worried, it is a lot for Ferrari or not at all? THANKS!!!

Hi Chris.. I'm not sure if anyone replied to you but here is my penny's worth. I have a F430. Whilst modern Ferraris are much more reliable and comfortable than before, I don't think any Ferrari should be a daily driver. The resale value is significantly linked to the mileage and if you maintain it correctly through the dealer it will cost a small fortune to run. The joy of a Ferrari is the sense of occasion you get when you start the car and take her out for a run over the weekend etc.. There are a lot better daily drivers out there than a Ferrari but nothing better for that epic tunnel run or hill climb on a Friday. Either way, get a Ferrari. Unique ownership and driving experience. Cheers.

Get it done, such a perfect car. Get the extended warranty for peace of mind. Only downside to the FF is the small fuel tank (same for Lusso).

Do it if you can afford to. Life's too short. There are plenty of deals to be had now as well...(summer is the best time to buy) and in the grand scheme of things, 10k per year on Cali's and FF's are nothing uncommon.

    Would you want a V12 or a V8?

Personally I'd recommend the Cali (Non turbo) if you don't need the extra space and in my opinion, looks much better than the FF. There's also much more Cali's for sale than FF's so you have a broader range to choose from when it comes to spec. And unsuprisingly, they're much cheaper as well.

There are only around 11 FF's for sale online and most of them have specs that I personally don't think fits the character of the car. (Rosso Corsa on an FF? No thanks...)

Also, as soon as warranty runs out, look for a specialist, like all official dealers, you pay much more than you have to... Fiorano Service Centre is an option amongst ARM as well

I daily drove my 360 for most of the 2 years I had it in Dubai, my boss DD a succession of F cars, starting with a Cali, through a 458 spider to an F12.

I have a friend whose only car is an FF, bought new it's been his daily for nearly 4 years.

F cars in general benefit from regular use so I'd say that as long as you can afford to run it then yes, go for it.

No issue using it as a DD, just won't be worth much with the high miles and harder to sell. Unless you need a 4 seater, the Cali would be a better car in Dubai and they're pretty cheap used.

Not in Dubai ... yet people all over are doing 15k a year on the modern Fcars ... as good or better than anything out there these days.
New Power warranty on the drivetrain you can do for 10 or 12? years at around 6000 a year USD, or self insure by holding that cash.

The only expenses I would expect are brake pads and maybe someday (over 60k miles) rotors. Use the best octane gas you can buy and enjoy!

FFs are super cheap right now, buyers market.

Hi Chris, I was just surprised to read this thread because so many people recommended you get an FF. Well, you should go for this one and not the other ones like 2013 California.

I reside in Dubai since the last 8 years and as soon as FF was launched, I ordered it for several reasons including its main features four seats and four-wheel drive. And because of this, it instantly became the fastest four-seat automobile in the world.

I had to drive to Abu Dhabi from Dubai daily for about 3 years for my project, and soon my FF became the most popular car at the site. Two of my colleagues had a DD and one of them had a V8, and guess what, they instantly ordered an FF.

Here, I have a great advice for you, if you have decided to get an FF, go for the 2012 model because it was the best model than the latest ones You can find a few used Ferrari FFs at Elanat.com. Moreover, its dual-clutch seven-speed automatic and V-12 engine make it an ideal choice for anyone.

The only thing you may feel bad about the FF is that it has too many controls on steering wheel, although it looks like you are in an A380 cockpit, still sometimes you feel like “WTH”. And yes, its mileage is not as good as a DD.

Overall on the scale, I’ll give this car 9.5/10 based on its engine, classy exterior, and the wonderful interior. Especially, its humpback silhouette reminds me of my old car BMW M Coupe which I had in 2001.

In short, I’d say it’s comfortable, reliable, and perfect in terms of luxury. It is the best car I ever had in my whole lifetime.
