For quite some time now, since acquiring my first 355, I've wanted to get a hold of a diagnostic tool to learn and be able to service my car myself and in full.

Having an F1 and wanting to change F1 fluids and properly bleed the system along with proper setup when a clutch change will be need - this tool is a must.

I've been in discussion with Nick (Nick Forza Ferrari) and was planning to purchase a Galileo tool which is the smaller, single model car version of the Leonardo. I was actually close to making that purchase when this tool came up for sale. I must say, Nick is a super guy and I highly recommend him to folks in need.

SD2's don't come on the market often so I decided to grab it.

Along with the tool came a PC, all the software, manuals, cables and a box needed for the Enzo (which will come in handy when I get one of those Ha-Ha!) :)

I'll get this hooked up to the car (maybe this weekend) and start playing around ;)

    Lot's to learn for sure.

As I learn, I will be posting what I learn as finding information about this seems nearly non-existent. I'll make some video's too :)

Great to have someone here that actually has the tool. Now please open it up and try to have it copied in China.

What is the going price for a Galileo tool? If you got one specific to the 355 5.2 it would do the convertible top diagnostics just like the Leonardo/SD2, right?

    Thanks, Guys :)

Regarding the tools Nick offers, it's best to speak with him directly. He's a great guy and very responsive.

    Nice.

That's the same box we used on my car at Motion. They upgraded and I tried to buy the thing but they traded the SD2 in for more money than I was willing to fork over at the time.

On of the Diag tools is my next purchase instead of another car *sigh* :)

    Very cool, and fun too.

I'm hoping to find one of these someday, from someone who doesn't want it anymore (i.e. not so expensive).

Wow congrats. I was on the fence about buying it myself. Having the 355 and a 550 I'm sure it would pay for itself over the years.

Awesome, I always thought it would be cool to have one of these. So much faster to diagnose suspension warnings and "slow down" lights than the trial and error methods we DIYers use. I got so frustrated tracing a suspension light, I went to the dealer and they gave me a diagnosis very quickly...identifying exactly which corner was the issue. I had previously inspected all the gears on top of each shock, then used a known good actuator and moved it to each corner and could not get the light to go out. Once I knew what corner was the issue, I inspected it more closely...and sure enough, the gear on top of the shock was damaged. Looked fine from the top, but if you looked at the side, the teeth were all torn away! New gear from Ricambi America and all good :)
