    The whole lot of them are useless, but really its what my fellow Victorians deserve for putting these stooges in charge.

    I mean $600 million paid for NO road/tunnel not to be built, its not possible... that is pure Gold

    Enjoying our out of control crime.

    At least they are world leaders in fines of every sort!

    If you really want to experience the utter stupidity of the average voter you need to come to SA. 14 years of Labor = total basket case in every possible way, yet there's a good chance they'll get back in again next year.

    I'd also bet my left nut that our (traffic) fines are higher than Victoria's, but on the positive side we don't have your shocking gang crime here.

    To be fair, maybe the previous government shouldn't have signed off contracts right before an election (contracts signed 29/9/14, election was 29/11/14) meaning that an incoming Labour government either had to build something they didn't want to (and was of course a major issue during the campaign), or cancel it and be penalised because of said contracts.

    It was a bit of a crap move by the Liberals to not wait until after the election and directly caused a major expense by forcing payouts due to broken contracts.

    I hear that your energy distribution network is so efficient that the Australian Energy Regulator tried (unsuccessfully) to argue in court that NSW could cut its maintenance budget by 42% to achieve a network as efficient as the SA Network.

    What could possibly go wrong if NSW moved away from a technically defensible maintenance regime to some politically driven scheme as appears to serving the people of SA so well ?

    The only people who will vote Labor / Green next year are those who are welded to the gravy train, at both ends of the spectrum.

    So there are plenty of "smart" people here who know where their bread is buttered and don't give a **** about the State in general.
    An enormously bloated public service, an incredible number of "advisors" for every single thing you can think of (and every one you can't), an enormous number of people dependant on welfare, and a compliant media, half of whom are secretly angling for their own advisor role or gig at the local ABC studio = SA.
    What could possibly go wrong, except eventually running out of other people's money?
    And of course, the people in the middle who fund all this crap get squeezed from both sides and the pool of them gets smaller and smaller.
    But by then who cares? You do what Mike Rann did - disappear to the holiday isles of Europe having a great time for the rest your life thanks to the idiot taxpayers of South Australia.

    Lefty utopia.
