It's just more entertainment. Nobody is forcing anyone to go to the concert. Merging the two events will bring -more- people to the F1 qualifying, and may increase the fanbase.
Better get used to it - It's all part of Liberty Media's planned three ring circus with F1 being the support act! Their motto should be: "F1: It's not about the race - It's all about the show!" Next year you'll be able to look forward to: "Katy Perry's Circuit of The Americas Concert Featuring half time F1 race entertainment"
I'm fine with the concert but don't change the F1 schedule for it. Also doesn't help with the Euro fan base as qualy is now way late in the middle of the night.
Hmm. If that's the case then I expect much less people for the Saturday practice and people stream in in the afternoon. Therein actually lies a benefit for me: less crowds in the morning and less crowds departing after qualifying. From that perspective a good thing
