I want to upgrade the front bumper grills on my car from the egg crate to Challenge type grills. Where can I find some?

Also attaching some pics of my car. Have had it since March and loving every bit of it. did have a suspension fault come on after I replaced the stock radio with an Alpine unit, but found out from Russ (Local exotic car Mobile electronics person) that the initial shop had switched some wire and was fixed in a few minutes.
    Thanks.

Try Ferrparts. Call Russ. That is where I got mine.

You see those being sold at eBay too. Definitely a big upgrade to stock front grills. Easy to install yourself too, just remove front bumper and go from there. All instructions found in youtube.

Your profile doesn't say where you're located, but Ricambi, Ferrparts and Eurospares all carry genuine ones. Prosport have aftermarket ones available too.
Make sure you get the spacers as well.

Yep. Nice product and they made spacers too so you can get the correct look. Reasonably priced as well.

No, the challenge grills are thinner than the stock grills. There is a plastic shroud or frame to fill the void between the bumper & radiator shroud.

I had the same problem with I put a new radio in my 2000 360. We never could figure out the problem, and put the stock radio back in. Can you enlighten me on what was done wrong? Thanks Dennis

Honestly I know a lot about cars when it comes to mechanical and body stuff, but the electrical stuff not so much. If you need to speak to Russ here is his number. (714) 721-9820

    Upgrade, in what sense?
Not sure I understand the benefit to these other than to be different?

Upgrade to the car's look definitely. How much exactly does it effect the airflow, someone else might be able to answer that.

The stock front grilles were cheap-looking IMO.

Challenge grills came from the challenge race cars. The point of the challenge grills is to stop smaller stuff from flying into your radiators; race tracks are notorious for rolled up rubber. The rubber gets into the radiators and decreases their efficiency or if something hard gets picked up it can cause a leak. The smaller grate blocks the small stuff and protects the radiators.

A benefit on the street is it will keep stuff like bags from getting into your radiators. The grill doesn't impact air flow in any meaningful way but a blockage might.

I feel like the egg crate oem grills look a little too much 90's. I just like the look of the challenge grills. I am sure my guys at the shop could cut the originals and make some nice mesh, but trying to keep the original parts so if I ever sell the car, it won't be an issue. Ordered them from Exotic auto parts in Northern California should be here any day. thanks for all the info.

thank you for taking the time to clarify this.
I didn't mean any disrespect to anyone, I just couldn't figure out the point of them other than as a tribute to the race cars. I'm not as particular about these details as some of you guys are...egg crates, chicken wire, its all the same to me :)

I think you did the right thing by ordering original parts. When re-selling an F-Car, almost all aftermarket parts can be a minus. Tasteful mods are always welcome to me. But I also understand why so many people want to keep their cars all OEM.

So keeping all the OEM parts in storage is an excellent idea. Everything would be reversible if needed.
