    Hello All,

I am supposed to go pick this car up this morning.

    1999 Ferrari 360 | eBay

    It is a 1999 360 Coupe with a 6 speed gated shifter.

    My concerns are-

    1. Rebuilt title (accident in 2003, front left)

    2. Seats were redone in red suede

    3. car used to be silver, and now its white

The price is $51500 with 26,xxx miles. There was a "tru car" report done that came back clean, with all measurements and alignments good.

This is a real 6 speed car.

    What do you think?

Wow. that's awesome. I dig it.

what's the suede worry? or are they alcantara?

short of the title being "stigmatized", what's the difference between this and a restoration car where major frame repair has been done? If it measures right, the work that's been done isn't sketchy, it shouldn't be a problem if you're buying to enjoy it.

Personally, i dig it, and none of those things bother me, but i've done a couple major repair restorations. (muscle and japanese sports cars)

(mad that I didn't find it first)

if he's done all the service at Orlando, call them up, the service manager can tell you what's been done by running the vin, and doesn't have to disclose owner info.

I think it's a reasonable price given the miles, salvage title and off-colors.

Thanks for the replies. I went out and checked it out. The paint is NOT perfect, and it is NOT museum grade, but it has lots of carbon fiber on it, and drives great, so I bought it.

I will be on here a lot more often looking for advice and seeing what others have done to improve their cars.

    Thanks!

I think you got a great deal. The car has a story, but it has a happy ending.

White on red is a pretty cool color combo. I've seen it on some challenge cars and I think it looks great. Post pics! :)

Usually you have to pay extra for those.

Seems like a great car you can really drive and not worry too much about it being used.

That's a great color combo. Sometimes you just need to do stuff. I could have waffled on my 348, but in the end I just pulled the trigger and took the plunge. That was 6 years ago and I have zero regrets.

A car with a history like that would make a really fun project car to modify and not feel bad. If it was a mint 360, I think the best thing to do is to keep it stock. However, I'd be all over putting on bigger brakes, challenge wheels, cage, etc. Make it almost a challenge car for the street.

I love google... i actually found so much info just by googling the VIN, including the pix of the car with more mods... on here! The guy took the wing off because he didn't like it, and said I could have it. I have to go pick it up in a truck. Maybe I can sell it.... and the hood... not my style.

    Very cool love the interior.

Yeah the wing and the wheels, meh. Maybe if they were alloy at least.

How could this car have been purchased to be added to a 'museum'? What kind of museum would that be?

Regardless, cool car for the price and you don't have to worry to drive the sh** out of it and enjoy it as it is meant to be enjoyed!

Very nice score! Congrats on the purchase!
Best thing the previous owner could have done was to remove that wing. :)
