Trying to figure out if I need to swap this in... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-parts-collectibles/554709-1992-512tr-engine.html
I didn't know the 355 had a power issue...but I would love to se someone wedge a 12 cylinder in there!
I'm pretty sure this has been done already. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/514889-f512gtb-f355-v12-engine-f512tr.html
What does that get you as an improvement? It adds a bit of weight and changes the center of gravity. I'd stick with the OEM motor and go other routes. Robb
The 512TR engine in a 348 is what I am talking about. If you had that, there's almost nothing that would touch you. 428Hp, 362 lb.ft. torque. Our 348's would scream until they tore themselves apart.
The 348/355 power issue. A) there is no way to make these cars put out as much power as <say> a Vette. B) in my opinion, such power is not necessary to have a good/grand/great time.
Map it Chip it Free flow exhaust it Cat delete it Intake it. GCK it That's all you need to do. Turbo it is the only other option and IMHO you will lose the 355 feel.
