    Good afternoon guys,

Does anybody know if the aluminium kick plates on the F430 can be refinished? The textured finish on mine has become "polished" in some areas by the friction from the door's rubber seals.

    Kind regards,

    Henry

Probably you can get some blasting done on it to make it more matte looking? I'm not sure of the original was it matte + coated or just raw metal?

For blasting it would have to be non-invasive so *no* sand blasting, maybe some form of bead blasting or such to dull the surface.

I pondered this myself, but you would have to protect the Ferrari letters when doing so because these are kept shiny. It appears that is some sort of "blasted" surface treatment. However, you may have to experiment to find the right media to achieve that result.

FYI they are made from stainless. If blasting the media would need to be very fine to preserve the uniform satin finish.
