Hi there, I understand your situations as I too am a father. In fact I am now a grandfather. Even though kids take a lot of our time (and money) they are worth every single penny. The happiness our children provides to us whenever we see them is immeasurable. Just when I thought I cant love anyone any more than my son - out comes my grandson. Extreme happiness! You will surely have more seat time as they start growing up. I say turn them into car fans so that they can join you on early morning drives and have the best quality time with them. All the best to you. Dan Loyola
It's not the scud but she's showing some promise lol. It'll be interesting to see how driverless cars will impact our kids/grandkids in the next 20 years. All I know is that I'm going to teach my daughter how to use 3 pedals and appreciate these future classics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You have been doing extensive research here about headers and how they might often crack. Time well spent I guess! Or maybe you have a crystal ball? I am thinking of getting AP headers too.
hope you share a sound clip when you change to the AP headers and KLINE exhaust, Kline seems to be the exhaust in play at the moment here in the chat room....
Congrats, Dan! I feel like we were on parallel paths the last few months...and I couldn't be happier. Enjoy her!
Looks really clean! Top down looks sexy, I just couldn't fit height wise lol. Mine had 29k miles with a new clutch and engine mounts. Look out for those as well as the transmission mounts. Mine has also had the headers and exhaust brackets done like you plan to do. Other than that, they seem pretty solid after. If it's not done, I'd recommend putting the ceramic tint on the front windshield. My vents have already pooped out of the dash and I installed the tint to keep the heat and UV from causing any further damage. Enjoy the car, it's hard to stop driving it
Awesome photo of your daughter! Yes, start them early. My opinion on driverless cars? I will never own one as I love to drive. Driving relaxes me and I go for early morning drives pretty much every weekend. What's driverless cars good for? I agree with what Jay Leno said. Jay said Driverless cars are actually good to have as there are drivers out there that should not be on the road Love it! Dan
Thanks Alvin! Of course! I frequently attend ERTC. Hope to see you there. I dont have my car yet but once I get it I will be going to ERTC. Come by and say Hi. Dan
Thanks Ronnie! Yes, I just cant live with the farty exhaust of the F80/F82 cars. BTW, I love your S Line exhaust sound! Incredible! All the best to you. Dan
@ RennSport93: Thanks! That was one of the items on my must have list - Challenge Wheels. @Mikael-F360: Yes, I've done a lot reading on headers. I actually have an active poll going. And sure enough my new car has cracked headers and muffler brackets. I just ordered Agency Power Headers from VividRacing + Kline Innovation Stainless Steel exhaust. I will post a DIY and videos once Im done installing it. @bocaf430: Absolutely! I will shoot videos and share detailed DIY of AP headers and Kline Innovation exhaust once Im done. @Klointheridge: Thank you! Yes, we are on a parallel path. Enjoy yours! @ShadowF430: Thanks! And yes, the PPI results Engine Mounts and Transmission mounts will need replacing soon, so I will be doing that too and post a DIY thread here once Im done. I'm not familiar with ceramic tint but I will look into it. Thanks for the tips! @3POINT8 and 2MS/Mark: Thanks for the kind words! @ChuckEBaby: Hello there my friend. See you soon! Thanks again everyone for the support & kind words. Sincerely appreciated. Dan Loyola
Wow, I am late to the party! Congratulations Dan this is awesome news, and the car looks beautiful...welcome back to the fold Dave
hi, i'm a new f430 owner as well just got a very clean '08 f430 with 16K the car came with brand new oem headers which I like to take down and replace with something else . is the AP header comparable to FabSpeed ? just less costly ? as to exhaust .stock is waaaay too quiet i just ordered the S line exhaust . i Figure I ll put new headers and exhaust at the same time just have not decided on what header . any input would be appreciated . I do have another Q . i read something about OEM rear lights breaking off at the bracket or something . any mods or preventive things we can do to prevent this breakage ? james R '08 f430 coupe, yellow '16 Huracan 580-2 '14 Viper T/A '95 NSX '93 RX-7 TT etc etc
Congrats on your new 430 as well! I think you'll find everyone saying that all taillights will fail at some point. The design is faulty. Move them around, if there is play, you more than likely have at least one or the three mounting points broken. Many have repaired them using epoxy with varying degrees of success. I've used JB Weld and they've held for several months so far. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
