That car is absolutely amazing and as far as I know, it's the first time Ferrari performs an "Engine swap" I'd loove to have the complete history and specs of that thing.
I would have used Speciale bumper and tailpipe style but that thing to drive should be a real toy. Congrats to Greg to play this adult game with style
Ferrari does "engine swap" in their mule all the time, which I believe is exactly what this car is. A refurbished LaF mule, without the KERS system, which is most likely not road legal (at least not without dealership or show specific registration)
LaF Prototype used to develop the engine. No hybrid system. Drives like a "normal car". Not possible to register for road use and track only for the first 24 months.
Amazing. So F140 FE 800PS 9000 RPM. F140 engine weight ~280 KG. F136 engine weight 212kg. LaFerrari Kers batteries/motor/wiring weight ~145 kg. Your 458 laf mule must be insanely quick. Can you tell us more? Is the rest of the 458 italia stock? Tires, suspension etc?
Was in Italy a month ago and took these pictures. I'm dying to see this amazing creation on a track! I could not let it sit there on display but I'm sure Greg has his reasons.
Dear Greg, Just curious to know if you've finished skiing and had the chance to take out the prototype yet? Gr. Martin
Just curious if there is any news on the car? Greg if you see this and don't mind sharing any more info I'm sure we would all love to know more. Have you got to drive it at the factory yet?
