I moved about a mile away to a much bigger shop. Ralph from Autos International who I've know for years and does all my Dino interiors invited me to share his building. At the time I was looking for something bigger so it worked out perfectly. It took 2 months though to get in the shape I wanted. Autos International is renowned for heir Porsche interiors. I hired an old school metal guy sometime ago and we really need more room. So my new spot has an upstairs for parts and a large separate tool room. I have a bunch of stuff going!! For me I have the 206Sp in progress, 74 Dino Euro spyder with flares on rotisserie awaiting more metal work, 58 Porsche Speedster just finished metal work, I have a Dino 206GT I'm getting ready for Cavallino and I bought 2 early 70's long hood Porsches that I want to try RSR tribute cars with some of my own touches. Couldn't do that with the Dinos. For others I have a Lamborghini Miura P400 at the paint shop and a 246 Dino Gt to bring back to original. Lots of metal work and want original color which was Rosso Dino. Plenty to do!!!! Some more shots of new shop and projects.

Great to see all the pics, the new shop, and the progress on your build.
Very cool that 014 is watching over her. ;)

    Isn't that 008?

Jon, Really love your work! Did you go with 13 inch for the new wheels? To me the right size makes or breaks the looks of such an iconic car.

Yes- looks like you're right. 014 has carried the same paint scheme including NART badge but (one) difference is #38 on 014 is a different font than your picture and the car on the wall in Jon's shop.

Looks like his art is 008. Good catch.

842 had a 4valves engine almost in July 1967 (Trento-Bondone hillclimb) and was subsequently crashed at Mugello 1967.
004 had a 3valves engine since August 1966 (GP Citta' di Pergusa) to July 1967 (Trento-Bondone hillclimb).
004 was entered with a 4valves engine to the Mugello race of July 23, 1967 (driven only in practice by Scarfiotti & Vaccarella, as the car was withdrawn for the Klass accident with the 842).
    Almost 010, 024 & 028 had a 3valves engine for some/all the races in the year 1967.

Finally had the time to finish the last of the metal work. Added front inner panels, changed the rear lights housing to accept larger lights and finished of the rear vents. All that is left is to fit the windshield then it goes off for surfacing and then back to take the body off again and powdercoat the frame. The body then reattached and gets painted.

I have seen a real on some weeks ago at Brandoli in a similar stage of bodywork (no pictures allowed).

Last time I saw one in real, was a long time ago, so I was amazed, how compact these sweet machines are!

    Have fun with Yours!

It's been awhile since I posted with too many projects going on at the same time. The body came off again after all the metal work and fitting. The frame was powder coated at Electro tech in San Marcos. Upon it's completion the windscreen went in and the body work for the final time. It's now off to paint and body to be returned in Rosso Corsa.

Yes, although I'm not sure on the rear spoiler additions ... guess I'll have to wait for further updates :)

The spoilers are not additions, original to car.

But based on pictures so far looked so much prettier without the riveted on side bits (the additions I was meaning).

As I said, I'll wait for updates and likely I'll be proven wrong :)
