This will be the best TriPacer ever! I am putting a Garmin GTN635 combined with a GTX345 transponder, for ADS-B In and Out. Should be a pretty good setup-- similar to yours. ADS-B In is really a big help, when it comes to traffic.

I certainly will Marci. The airplane will be based at ADS when its done! We begin final assembly in 6 weeks.... can't wait!
Well it looks like we are going to make Oshkosh and an attempt at Grand Champion. Everything is back together with the exception of some last minute items that will be completed tomorrow. Test flying and debugging over the weekend and off to AirVenture 2017. If (and thats a BIG IF) we win it will be the shortest rebuild time to a Grand Champion in Oshkosh history. Every nut, bolt, part, EVERYTHING is new. We even made a face plate of the old 50's radios to go over the Garmin GTN 750 and 345 Transponder. The best Tri Pacer in the world IMHO... You must have had or have some great parents. I know of only a few cases where young people are that motivated at that age. Really cool story that says a lot about you.
Thank you Juan. While my father has "gone west" my mother is still alive. And you are correct about them...they were (and are) fantastic parents. In many ways this restoration has been a labor of love in recognition of a time in my life that I cherish deeply... and a time that would not have been possible without the support of my folks. That looks really good! You should put your story/connection to the plane on a plaque or something when you show it. People love stories like this.
