Plated after purchase. Several red flags RE originality on that example: Shift knob and pedals are aftermarket stainless replacements, and the interior looks "off." Can't recall ever seeing red leather interior with beige carpets, but suppose it's possible. Car has euro-spec louvers and turn signal lenses but US bumpers and side marker lights. Hmm.

I could see the gold badging looking sleek on dark metallic blue or black, especially with the gold Lister Bell coffin spoke wheels.

    That interior... not my taste.

Red + black = works. Tan + black = works. Red + Tan = weird clash.

Also, someone has welded a roof on that car. I don't recall Magnum having a hard-top! :)

I'd be amazed if that car left the factory with those seats, door panels and carpet. The seller says it's Ferrari-certified... but proof is not part of the ad

Looks like a US car with km speedo. So maybe Canadian originally?

To many non standard items ... grills, badges, shifter to believe the originality claim.

Black fender grilles is also wrong. 77 should have californian mirror. Radio is WAY too new for a 77.

The seller states: "28000 ORIGINAL KMs certified by Ferrari" - They're not saying the entire car is certified by Ferrari, they are saying that the mileage (or kilometerage to be accurate) is certified by Ferrari.

The door panels and seats are all correct for a '77. I'm not saying they are factory original but why would you be amazed if they were original?

Because of the colour combination. My guess is the red is original and the tan carpet has been added.

Nice badging on the air box. That was a special order option I think. As well as the red cam covers. Must have been a close friend of Enzo's to have such Atelier touches back then.

Underneath all the crap, it actually looks like it could be a nice car... I'd love to restore it back to factory condition but not at that price.

I rather like the gold accents.
There was a fellow on Long Island who I bought some tech manuals from. He was a jeweler and had a true gold rampante for sale. I didn't buy for a red 308 :)

It all seems to work, strangely...like a Ladies' car from Palm Beach, Florida...

Not sure what the "Lol" is all about?

The advert blatantly states that the kilometerage is certified by Ferrari - Again I quote: "28000 ORIGINAL KMs certified by Ferrari"

To Me, using basic English comprehension, that reads as: "The Ferrari service history proves the kilometerage is genuine."

The car's for sale on UK ebay with ugly US-spec park bench bumpers front and rear, it's a LHD, mismatched carpets, and ugly US-spec elephant ear door mirrors. At £75K, I'd say for the UK market it's @ £20K over-priced.

Swap the park benches for the prettier Euro version bumpers, fit some nice red carpets, some California door mirrors and ditch the 80's style bling gold badges for some standard ones, then it could make a nice enough car - But even with all that done, I still wouldn't say it would be worth £75K in the UK being a LHD.

Ah, I see what you are saying. I've seen some different color combinations on cars though.
