Yes, that Mondial is mine; I bought it from FChat member Stan Trachtenberg back in 2009. I am the Producer/Director of this program, "Motorhead Garage", (as well as Tech Garage also hosted by John Gardner) and a wide variety of other automotive and racing shows made by Masters Entertainment Group. We use various cars as props and background eye candy. And I chose this car because of the color combination...I saw too many rosso/crema cars during my search. Motorhead Garage is on Velocity every Sunday at 8:30 am Eastern time.
I saw that Mondial for sale at FOW many years ago. I thought it would be the perfect his/her match for my t coupe!
Teegeefla, As it so happens, your car was my car's stablemate. Stan T. owned both of our cars for a while. Mine's an '86 3.2 Cabrio (below). I also have some of photos of both of our cars at FoW. I'll see if I can find them and post them. Bill P. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Glad you enjoy our shows...that episode had a brief feature on a magnetic tool holder by Lodesol. Lodesol
you have a beautiful Mondial! You should definitely feature it more on your shows! (hint hint) Cheers
...and if you missed it - Ferrari tweeted this nice gem yesterday. The link goes to here: http://70.ferrari.com/en/garage/mondial-cabriolet Image Unavailable, Please Login
Also, learned that 2x NBA Laker World Champion, Norm Nixon is an owner. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Mondial will be making some cameo appearances on Motorhead Garage in the next several months (Motor Trend Sunday mornings at 8 am Eastern). It will also be seen at times on a new show called Topcoat's Magnificent Machines airing on CBS Sports Network on Saturdays at 9:30 am Eastern beginning next week. On that show we go to interesting events and places around the country to check out some...Magnificent Machines. So far we have been to the Houston Keels & Wheels concours, the American Muscle Car Museum, Don Garlits' Museum, the Sonoma Speed Festival, Barber Motorsports Park and others still to come. Lots of fun...
Thanks Stan, but it was your careful care and stewardship of the car that has made it the most fun and trouble free car I have! Bill P.
