    We've all been through it before...Driving with the windows down in the 458 and being stopped at a red light. The car next to you says "hey buddy want to switch cars?" ... What is the funniest / best answer you guys have had to that question?

    I was stopped at a light on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston a few years ago in my 458. An MBTA trolley on the tracks next to me had just let passengers off and the driver yelled over and asked if I wanted to trade. I glanced towards the back of his trolley then back at him and said “sure.” It took him a second then he started laughing. Not the answer he expected.

    I had a variation of that happen to me two years ago. My 458 was outside the service bay at my local gas station, waiting for an emissions inspection. A town policemen driving a Ford Explorer pulled in, got out, inquired about my F430 (same color as the 458), and said: "It looks like rain. You ought to get that car home." I asked, jokingly, if he would give me a police escort, and he said: "Only if I'm driving your car!" With that, he took a phone pic of the 458 and drove off. Fred

    They're just trying to compliment you... I just give another back such as "your car was way better gas mileage" or something along those lines.

    For the people that ask me how much I paid for the car or how much I make, I say sure, lets trade and then I ask them how would they like to take care of the balance they would owe me? cashiers check or cash...

    For everyone else, I say thanks, it's a great way to get from A to B. In all seriousness, most people are just paying you a compliment.
