It is said that Ferraris will sustain one through periods of no sex far better than sex will comfort one during episodes of no Ferrari.
Well, let's take a look at the scoreboard shall we... Based on responses, we have 4 people who were single at the time they bought their first Ferrari: me, boobernackle, The Mayor, and E-Man Number of us who are married = 0 Hmmmm.......I have my theory, but let's wait for some more responses before we turn correlation into causation In other news... This is by far my new favorite quote of all time lol
I did the complete opposite. Got rid of the X and got a Ferrari. While I agree you get more overall life enjoyment out of a wife and kids. The problem lies in actually finding a good women. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
many women claim that it is so hard to find a good man nowadays. I think it's because these women who make such a claim are not good women to begin with. Of course, good men would not be attracted to them. I think the same goes the other way too. I think having a ferrari and a wife are not mutually exclusive, unless one include affinity to nice car to the qualities of a good wife. In that case, it is slightly harder.
This, she tells me if that's what you want the get it. I have never had her tell me do not buy that car/truck/Jeep/Bike/toy/whatever. I still don't own a Ferrari but this last weekend when I was looking at a 430 Spider she said just do it! I didn't but it's nice to know she supports me in my crazy car life.
For those that want to see the math: Average marriage duration 8 years Average income of a Ferrari owner is 1m per year (presumably that's for new, so lets say 300K per year for the lower end of 458 buyers?) 8 x 300K = 2.4m Presumably already owns certain assets such as a house, the Ferrari, a daily driver, car for her etc etc. Call it 4 million. Divorces with money involved always get nasty. She wants at least 50% (I've seen far worse). That's 2 million. Over 8 years that 700 USD a day. Few escorts/sugarbabies would say no to 20K/month . Best part is, when you get bored of each other, can just trade her in.
Bought my first Ferrari when I was 30. Bought my 2nd when when I was 35. Still single but I have been with the same girl for the past 6 years. so I guess, count me in?
.... until she starts complaining about race seats, loud exhaust, jerky gear changes, etc.... Once she feels she's partially buying it, she'll start having an input in color, seat trim, comfort, noise level..... F--- That! I'm sure many here had to spec a car a certain way or chose a particular car to appeased his wife.
Bought my first Ferrari when I was 23 and was on to my second Ferrari when I got married at 29. I'm self made (unfortunately I had to earn my own way ) 18 years later happily married to my 1st wife and I'm on my 9th Ferrari. My wife lets me buy what I want, in the colour I like and how many I want. I currently own three Ferrari's with a fourth coming. She is truly a wonderful woman and I love her with my heart. Cars and other material things are just trinkets well for you enjoy most is our positive life experiences together.
Strange my wife pushed me to buy a 488 ( on order ) . Her colour but I like it also RC metalic We both didn't like the 458 . Actually we both disliked the same certain things on the 458.
Like most ppl here o suspect, I looked at exotics online Michele in magazines forever. One day my wife said "why don't you just buy it - you have the money". The next day I called her from the plan as I boarded. I found a Lamborghini Murci, gave a deposit over the phone and was on my way to see the car in person. Next was an F430 spider and now just waiting on my 488 Spider delivery. Lost the wife along the way but we're still great friends. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Wife only allowed to buy my 458 if i promised to have in ground pool installed. Had my 458 a little over a month...breaking ground on the pool in a few weeks. I still made out on that deal.
Like was stated, happy wife, happy life. I take good care of her and 17 years later things are still good. I should state that my wife grew up around racing and goes with me to Moab once or twice a year. We drive out in the Jeep and drive back in the Jeep. We have been doing Moab trips since 2002.
Coming up on 20 years of marriage later this year. Bought my first ferrari in 2016. Have plans to buy many more. Wife is supportive and lets me do what I want. Im a lucky man with 2 beautiful daughters and if you give me the choice of my family or ferrari- that ferrari is on Autotrader before you can blink.
Make that 7... 37.. 1 lambo and two Ferraris and still cheaper than marriage. I've got a son that's 8 and that's all I need for happiness.. definitely don't need a piece of paper saying some woman is gona take half of everything I own in a few years years.. but then again.. I don't gamble. LOL
Gentlemen, you have been warned... buy the Ferrari you want, the way you want, before you get married. Some of you are just plain lucky to have the wives you have. Image Unavailable, Please Login
