Think the car was stuck in one gear because they couldn't figure out how to shift?

I'm not familiar with the transmission in the huracan, so I'm not sure if it automatically shifts at a high rpm regardless of being in auto mode or not.

But it sure would make sense with catching fire and being disabled.

Headline says "bursts into flames" article says nothing about fire and picture doesn't show any fire. News casting at its finest.

Also, to get into first gear/drive is the same as up-shifting (right paddle) and the car automatically goes into neutral at a stop and back into first when starting to move from a stop.

And this is why you NEVER give a Valet the keys!!! Or if you do you turn the kill knob off, pull it out, show it to the valet and tell him the car is now dead.

ive never been in a huracan but have watched tons of videos featuring them. i believe if you start the car it goes into automatic mode and comfort setting (strada) by default. i'd assume if someone was able to switch it into corsa mode, they would know to shift with the paddles.

I feel the same way, and hate going to places that are "valet only"!

Valet companies seem responsible for nothing! About five years ago the valet company as the SLS in Beverly Hills had to move my lambo for some reason (after I self parked, tipped them, and they had to hold the key) and somehow scuffed the leather on the driver's side of the center console. Of course, no one knew anything. Then I notice later in the trip that one of my belts is missing from my garment bag which was in the front trunk... I could have lost it.. but who knows.

I mentioned the scuffed leather to the hotel, they said that they have nothing at all to do with the valet service. So I mention to valet company, they could not have cared less about my concern.

    Lesson learned.

    Oh, yeah, right. Valet parking!

Each time I see it, reminds me the beginning of this clip.

You should have a valet-proof car to go to such places.
