the drama queen response told me all I need. he calls lots of members low class and gets called out on it and response is USSR.
funny. Some of my best friends are from here currently. One or two have vanity pates. What's the large watch have to do with it? Why are you picking fights with strangers?
I have friends and business dealings with lots of folks on f-chat. mickpucc chose to do the route of nasty "better than thou". To the OP, I won't refuse to do business with you because of the vanity plate but apparently some here will... so that's a consideration when doing it. Oh... and don't wear a large watch.
Never had one, thought about it a few times and decided not to bother. HOWEVER, having said that, STATs, buddy, go with MomBus on the Mondial. As to the 430, I go with "1OF12K" D
most famous Ferrari on screen had a vanity plate (NRVOUS) As to what constitutes class or no-class, I think the message itself determines much of that. Plates are pre-screened for outright offensive messages. Yeah, I if I saw *any* car that said (2COOL4U) - yeah - I would say that lacks tact. But most plates I've seen are either humorous or neutral - I personally judge the plate by the message itself, and not a blanket condemnation on personalization. In some Middle East countries to have a low number is considered prestigious - the exact opposite of low class, (with many paying crazy amounts for them.) I have a historical vehicle plate -- do you find that low class? (It did save me $600 and made me smog exempt so I guess there was some 'low class' blue collar intent in there) My other plate is a special plate honoring Veterans - is that also low class?
I went with funny. Some like it, some hate. One or two here took quite a bit of offense. I think the sticks were shoved slightly too far up their asses that day. Mark Image Unavailable, Please Login
BWAHAHAHAHA!!! That's great! I'm not a vanity plate person, but I've thought about it: Porsche - PQPINE 400GT or Boxer - FIAT12 Smart - SMRAT or NOTSO 560SL - PNZRTAN At one time, around the beginning of the whole Classiche scam, er, "program" I thought about FIERO for the Boxer.
I wasn't really expecting these types of responses from Ferrari owners. Ill take my low class vanity thread down. discouraging to say the least- have a good day
First, let me say congratulations again. Second, do what makes you happy, don't let a few folks discourage you. You'll find plenty of other haters you'll encounter in your car no matter what plate you have. Enjoy your car.
A friend of mine once said..... vanity plates either show everyone how incredibly intelligent you are.....or how incredibly stupid you are.
Relax! Do whatever makes you happy and enjoy your car. If someone judges you by a vanity plate do you really want them in your life? Lol, the ones who called it "low class" probably show up to C&C covered in Ferrari gear from head to toe. Besides, I'll take low class over stuck up any day of the week. Us low brow people are more fun.
Here is my vanity plate, as far as cash cost it was nothing Never have to renew anything at DMV ever, because it has no stickers. Under expiration date it says permanent. Never have to go they DEQ ever, because it expires the day I expire. Exempt from DEQ. It did cost me, but not an amount you can't put in $. So maybe put "flys lo", saw that on a Porsche once. In Oregon you can't put religious or sexual things on your plate, put a lot of people try .....lol Other than that do what pleases you. Now I am thinking "Lo class" might look good on one. A guy also had "DEA 1" on his car, have no clue who he worked for...... but it made you think. Image Unavailable, Please Login
