WOW!
I think this car may have Paul doing a personal record number of test runs to get it dialed-in. ;-) I know I would be making absolutly sure it runs perfect under every condition.
Paul, never forget the all-important tests for "How does it run the day after a dialing-in test," and also "How does it run the day after the 'How does it run the day after a dialing in test' test." Consistency is crucial, especially if there's an accessible driving road nearby
I wonder if I can hold the car until the spring to do more thorough testing not to mention breaking in that new engine!
Making the ducting for the air intakes using the factory air inlets which is the main reason for the spoiler on a boxer clamshell. Ill locate and mark a hole for the air filter snorkel to pass through then powder coat black. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Adjusted the rear up a bit and did further road testing. The car handles exceptionally well including bumps and its very smooth. Im surprised and it gives me a new appreciation for the boxer chassis. Such an easy car to drive, effortless power, a very well balanced package of power, handling and style. That ride height just looks superb. Its amazing how getting rid of the crappy trx's filling out the wheel wells and setting the ride height transforms the car. Plus modern rubber transforms the drive.

Indeed! I am flying out to Toronto next week for final inpection/drive. Looking forward to it, its been a long and winding road, thats for sure. Paul was the best part I must say.
So happy for you to finally be at this point! Incredible process you and that car have been through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
After living through a nightmare in flooding all around me, I decided to get on Ferrarichat for the first time in a long time. I remember emailing riverflyer a long time ago about your wheels and making spacers for them. It appears that has been done. I'm glad to see that taken care of since I was in the process of retiring at the time and afraid I just couldn't commit to doing it at that time. Then seeing Paul working on it made me feel good to see it coming back to life. The boxer looks great! John
Newmans customer management skills are excellent indeed. It really helps bring a sense of fun to projects. Keep it up Paul. Cheers, Bernie.
Jason, you are the best. You have been a great friend and supporter through this whole process. So whats the latest black paint protection you would recommend?
John, yes I remember. You were a great help and I am very happy to hear you did not get flooded. John (ha remember when John was such a popular name, seem there was a John around every corner )
Haha honestly full car ppf. That's going to keep that paint at 100%. I know some don't feel the same but after having our two cars fully wrapped I wouldn't do it any other way. We also have a ceramic coating (Cquartz Finest) applied on top to help keeping it clean and protected since you still have to maintain the film as you would the paint. Once you get that girl back home let me know and I'll direct you to someone out there that you can trust whether you decide on ppf or just a solid protectant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've have had more that enough wines with Paul over the years, either in his kitchen or the garage (he keeps trying to leave me in the garage for some reason),and I just don't think he's that funny. Sooo serious about his work, soooo dedicated, so professional. Ferrari this, Boxer that. I've found that if I put a just a bit of Australian sarcasm on the back of an insult, and say it with a smile... then,,,,,,,,, he has a chuckle to himself. MG
Ready for John's test drive tomorrow, hoping the weather holds out! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
