I picked up a $30 WiFi Endoscope for a project I am working on, then I got the bright idea to start poking about my 308 with the camera, what great fun looking at thing you never see on you favorite toy, cylinders, belts, etc.

Don't forget the money saved on do it yourself colonoscopies :)
Actually these are very nice instruments to have. In the airplane world they are used to look at the exhaust valves for impending failure.

I can't believe how cheap this stuff has become. I just picked one up on Amazon for $35 - it will be great to scope the OE headers on my parent's 355 to see if they are still usable/able to sell or if they are cooked and ready to burst...

I'm really glad I spotted this thread!

+1. Awesome. Does it interface to a mobile app on iOS?

On the 355 the melted tubes should be pretty easy to spot before the cracks and leaking start showing up....that should work great.

This pic is of great quality for a $30.00 WiFi endoscope.
Would be interested in brand. Do you have a link?

    Best and thanks in advance

    Thanks Frank.
How long does it take to connect to WiFi?
I have a similar thing, but it takes up to two minutes (feels like forever sometimes) till connected. (iOS). Slightly faster with Win10-PC.

    Best Regards
    Martin

The wifi setup just takes a few seconds each time you use the camera.

The head size is important on these, this one is 8mm which is fine for normal spark plugs etc. They are obtainable in smaller head diameters for applications that require it.

    DIY colonoscopy... Not recommended :)

So I see this thread title and think..."what is this thread about"
Read the posts real quick.....immediately open the Amazon app and ordered one lol
    Free same day shipping !
It is amazing how cheap things have gotten. I remember years ago looking at one, maybe at Home Depot? Either way it was $200ish and I couldn't pull the trigger on it.
For $30 its a no brainer.

    Bought one.

Connects to my Samsung Galaxy phone in about 5-10 seconds.

    Picture is AWESOME.

IF you need one, get this.

I would have been happy at TWICE THE Price.

    :)

With a little ingenuity I dont see why not.

The camera cable is semi-rigid. It will hold the shape you bend it into ..... to a point.

    Keep that in mind.

Just noticed that on the listing the focal length of this type is 50mm. Thats likely one reason why this is good for this application, many of them have a much longer focal length which is too long for inside cylinders etc, so you end up with a blurred image.
