Hey guys! If this is the wrong forum, I apologize. Over the last 2 weeks I have driven the Porsche 911 Turbo S, Audi R8 V10 Plus, Mclaren 650 s, Ferrari 458 and Ferrari 488. Now people are calling me CRAZY, but I personally fell in love and got attached to the 488. This one in particular.

    2016. 1,400 Miles. They're asking for $299,000. 5% APR. 150 down gets me to 3K a month and 115 down gets me to 3,700 a month.

A buddy of mine said that after the market got hit due to the release of the 720S that I should try to get it for 280.

What are your opinions? Any insight would be helpful!

    Hi

If it is the one that you want, then get the best deal that you can from the dealer and get the deal done!

The market dictates the price not friends and family!

    Simple!

Let us know whether you buy it, it looks lovely.

    Regards

    Michael

You should drive the 720 before you make a decision.

Typically Ferraris hold value better than Lambo's. I doubt the 720 had anything to do with 488 pricing. What drove down 488 coupe pricing some is that they released the spyder right away a lot of coupes were traded in on spyders. I would certainly try 280K but if that's the color etc you really want I wouldn't let 10K stand in the way.

My 488 (I like coupes) is the most effortlessly fast car I have driven.

Why would people call you crazy? 488 is a great car . If you fell in love then go for it. Btw; the cars you are comparing with aren't in the same price range .

You can haggle over the 20k differnce- why not give it a shot. But if you are financing, the differnce in payment is like 20 bucks.

And the 720 is a great car but it hasn't done anything to 488 pricing. That pricing is what it is. Just make sure you have goldrake seats as I feel those are the best! The rest of the options are subjective.

Drive a 720 as well but right now you are looking at another 60-80k for the 720.

Provide the vehicle MSRP and options list, otherwise anything we say is severe speculation.

Don't know where you live but 5% seems high to me. I recently got 1.89% from a local credit union that i had never done business with prior. A buddy just got @ 2.3% when a dealer matched his credit union quote.

Secondly I'd definitely advise driving the 720S, either you'll love it and be glad you did OR you will prefer the 488 and you'll still be glad as you confirmed your initial excitement. Nothing worse than spending time/money to regret it later thinking "boy I wish I got the other one".

    Good luck

You're not crazy! The 488 is a blast to drive. To save the wait for ordering a new one, used is the way to go. I would not compromise on color or you could be sorry. With that being said, if this is your color and is optioned close to what you would pick, it might be the car for you. Good luck in the chase and please keep us posted!

Hey, Hoagers. I was told it was a 5% through the Ferrari financial. Is it smarter to finance with an outside bank and not through Ferrari themselves?

Also, the MSRP is $317,000 but I will confirm tomorrow. As well as providing the specs!

    Here is the interior:

If you are going to finance- get the best rate. Your car won't retain more value just cause you financed through Ferrari financial.

The price they are offering you could be predicated on financing through them . There's a reason why dealers get a little upset if you pay off within six months or use a different lender (finance company inducements to dealer , cough, cough)
