My Renewal is up and Im wondering if I can get cheaper rates somewhere else. I wanted to do a poll but didnt know how to do one here. would appreciate if fellow members share who they use to insure. Im with farmers and I am paying 2500/year just for a 99 360 Maryland DC Suburb.

    Thank you in advance.

State Farm. House, cars, umbrella. On the F car you can drop Liability for the winter. Keep it in the garage. Still insured. Keep the plates. No driving. BTW get a reputable appraisal with a copy kept at the appraiser, your house and of course one for the ins co to keep on file.

I had Hagerty. But for a mere Mondial.

They were very reasonable. Agreed value too.

Grundy Worldwide. Whomever you choose, be sure to get an "agreed value" policy. If you ever were to have the unfortunate experience of totaling the car, an "agreed value" policy protects you from battling the insurance company from under valuing your car (they will). The legal adviser for Sports Car Market magazine covers this at least once per year, and explains how common these end up in court, and could be avoided by simply getting an agreed value policy.

chubb for the f40. the 512tr is under bob houghton's insurance, the 512bbi is under Cars Europe insurance, the 430 is under pure, and the latest 456 is under hagerty.

i would opt to have them all under one umbrella but they are all in different places....

It varies state to state. I use State Farm here in Florida.

I've been with USAA for 30+ years. They are unbeatable in my book.

Grundy is excellent. I've used them for more than 20 years.

I'm with Hagerty, with agreed value.
I have not shopped around because Hagerty's rates are reasonable.

Yep I've been a Chubb guy for about 15 years now. ACE acquired them last year.

Also since this is another insurance thread, it bears repeating again that shopping for insurance by lowest price is about as useful as shopping for tires by the lowest price. Not the best approach.

My four collector cars are all with Chubb...competitive pricing (although not necessarily the cheapest) and a stellar claims-paying reputation.

I have farmers and they won't even give me full value, $100k on a $245k car, what a joke. I pay about $5000/yr for that. I tried other insurers like Chubb and Nationwide private but they won't write me. Not rich enough.

Go online and get an immediate quote from Grundy for stated value. My 07 f430 spider cost me about $1050.00 per year for $150k stated value policy.

I use State farm have for years, but now I get discounts for passing AARP safe drivers class, plus because I have so many cars I have these things I stick on the windshield and since I drive well below even their lowest mileage I get an additional 11% off. I guess there are a few good things about getting old.
