I apologize if I didn't make my self more clear with the original post, as I see some users are not taking me seriously and are getting a bit upset.

I've met many people that have ruined cars with over the top mods, but I don't think a manual conversion would ruin the Scud. But this doesn't mean I would do such a conversion, because I love the Scud as it is.

50K in mods to turn a PDK GT3 RS into a manual is a ridiculous amount of money and it's all over the internet for those who don't believe me.
This made me wonder if anybody would be brave enough to do it to their Scud (Another track focused car like the GT3 RS). So I don0t know why my question sounds so outrageous to some.

Those who think the car would be ruined have to drive a manual 430.
In my eyes it would only ruin the idea of the 430 Scud, not the driving experience.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but how about another take on this subject...

Suppose someone has a manual F430 but prefers the more aggressive body lines of a Scuderia. What if he has access to all the correct (original, not reproductions) body panels (front and rear bumpers, rear decklid, rockers), and is a competent DIY'er and is able to do the conversion himself. And no, he did not put a Scuderia badge in place of the F430 badge. He is not trying to pass the car off as something it is not, he just prefers the more aggressive styling of a Scuderia while not being able to give up having a manual gearbox.

Just wondering what everyone's opinion on the subject is. Not trolling :)

People will do what ever they want. I've converted a couple of cars to manual. I wanted to do my 360 when a manual 430 fell in my lap. Would I do a Scud, hell no. Without the SF2 it wouldn't be a Scud.
I bet the guy who paid 50K to convert his 991 GT3 is quite upset that they then started making manual GT3's again.
Can't wait for the hoopla when Ferrari announce a new manual car!

I have driven PDK Porsches and Challenge Stradales. The transmissions are not special...so no loss to the driving experience if it is replaced. The Scud trans is like no other (except the GTO!) and actually is very engaging for a paddle shift car. The gear change bang that you get when superfast mode is actuated is crazy and will make you giggle like a school girl the first time you experience it and any other time it occurs, will provide much more than tremendous satisfaction. Removing this special feature would make it more ordinary, devalue the car and just be silly.
