I wonder if they have done anything to address the noises over bumps etc that happen with the Cali T roof?

    Good tip

Have driven 3 Cali T all with a lot of noise. Service says it's common.

Our Cali T roof doesn't squeak, and UK roads are well, Lunar. Also it doesn't seem to leak as much as the one on the SL did, though I wouldn't want to jet wash it too vigorously. Both are made by Bauer in Germany. Does the Portofino roof also comes from there or have Ferrari taken it in house? I did read that it's significantly lighter than the Cali roof.

Good news on these 3. I am 0 for 3 ... maybe a poll is in order?

I was going to ask, of those with out squeaks, how many of them have their Dealership perform the annual services?

Lube and Adjusting body seals is part of an actual annual service ( not an oil change )
and should keep the noises to a minimum.

Not saying this is always the case, but I am curious...

Maybe that is a poll question... LoL

Closing in on 9 K miles on my watch. 14+ K total, no squeaks. Knock on wood. Not even in hot weather, where my wife's SLK gets squeakier. Annual service done @ dealer!

Nada, solid as a rock. I was accidentally drifting today. This car is just so much fun.

My Cali T never squeaked. Roof opens and closes like a charm.
Trouble free since Day 1 so it's been a very solid car to me.
Just done the first annual factory maint.

Not an issue on either of mine.

My biggest hope with the Portofino is a lower the cowl height to make the cockpit feel more airy. So low on a 458 (not surprising given engine placement) and love how low it is it on my F12, but always felt like the Cali and T dashboard were overwhelmingly tall....like a wall blocking a full view of the world around you. I'll have to wait to sit in it, but if it's lower, count me in....it looks really good, and there's no beating that turbo engine for everyday flexibility.

Hmm, strange ... the service manager said the all made some sound. My sensitivity to sound is pretty high yet it seems you are all happy.

Definitely could be sensitivity, Brian. The squeak in my wife's SLK bugged the heck out of her, but I didn't really notice unless I was in passenger seat, or it was really hot out, and then it wasn't what I'd consider annoying. Car was still under warranty, so we took it to dealer, and they said that they adjusted it, replaced some liners, lubed it, and knock on wood, it's been quiet for some time now.

    Good to hear.

There's no doubt my hearing is in the 0.001. The 911 cab is so noisy I just wear plugs. lol Was hoping a Cali or now Portofino could avoid that.

And just to make sure we are on the same page.

Roof is down, you take a lower speed bump like a driveway, at an angle, or go over anything asymmetrically ... you hear nothing?

And with the top up, lower speed, off angle over a bump or into an uphill driveway?

You're not hearing the whole vehicle flex through the roof joints?

Hmm. I'll need to do that experiment, since it's not a typical driving scenario for me. On my typical weekend driving routes, for example, I'll go over railroad tracks, slow speeds, very bumpy, but not off angle, and almost invariably I'll have windows rolled down or top down...T

In a roof UP scenario I sometimes get a slight roof flex going into a steep angle change but it's really not that disturbing and a lot of my other convertibles had something like this except for the 911s.
