Drive the wheels off it, take it to track days, and when you sell it your $/Mile will be the lowest of any other 360 owner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So...... how much?? I've got to know. . Nice looking car even with a salvaged title. Does it run? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
With a CA BAR sticker means it's a Euro and was sent to BAR to be CA legal. Grey market car plus a collision will put off many buyers. But at 40K, the car is begging to be enjoyed hard without worrying about the value much
Congrats and hope it doesn't have anything major wrong with it. You bought it at the right price but then again they don't come up too often for sale (driveable salvage 360s) so you couldn't have bought any cheaper.
I am very familiar with this subject since I drive a euro Spider and have had it for over 10 years in CA (Bay Area). I did assume that it was a stock header and cats; If it isn't it wouldn't pass visual in CA. From an emissions perspective I pass at less than 10% of the allowed emissions, that is rolling road test. If the car is running well and not burning a lot of oil this shouldn't be an issue. The only time I had an issue was when there was a stored error that effectively bypassed the MAF mapping, running like on startup. Then I failed HC spectacularly but reset the code and it was back to normal. NOTE: the code was caused by a short in the wiring harness that had previously been repaired. Now getting the BAR sticker is a different question. That would be tough with a car that isn't almost perfect and it is very close to the edge even then.
So it's kinda like a state inspection for when a car has been in a salvage collision and was Repair and has to go through inspection Sent from my FRD-L14 using Tapatalk
No I'm surprised usally people put them for sale on fourms and what not before it goes to a auction Sent from my FRD-L14 using Tapatalk
BAR is Bureau of Automotive Repair, specifically Air Resources Board. CA has special rules about gray market cars (anything not imported by the manufacturer, including all euro cars). Gray market cars have to be individually inspected, tested, and approved. Once that is done they affix the sticker as seen in the photos. From then on, the car can be registered in CA and is like any other car. So, it has nothing to do with a salvage title. Salvage says that at some point an insurance company decided it had more damage than the value of the car. Generally that is because of VERY significant damage. Someone does repairs and gets it licensed again but those repairs are generally not up to great standards. That is why people steer clear of salvage titles.

On the up side looks like it has challenge grills in the front if I'm correct Sent from my FRD-L14 using Tapatalk
Make sure you inspect the heck out of that car before you let the driver go anywhere. Take lots of pictures and video of the driver and take your time if you can. It looks like the driver had a plan to drive a Ferrari a bunch of times by putting it on the trailer in the one position that guarantees he will get to start it up and move it to get any other car off the rig. I would be pissed off if that was my car. I am a sort of a worrisome fellow though about my special things. I guess if your car is the first one off the truck then my worry's are wasted. Lets hope that is the case!
Your are right took me a week to get this think on a trailer no one with a closed trailer wants to go to iaai or copart to pickup cars.it definitly sucks had to go open trailer and last minute pickup on Friday to avoid long weekend storage. Sent from my FRD-L14 using Tapatalk
And it's not the first off the truck I'm on the east cost I'm probably the last drop off. Sent from my FRD-L14 using Tapatalk
Im sure it will be okay. I mean im sure u have reasonable expectations: its an auction car which may or may not have some issues, it should be a nice drivers car with some little projects. All ferraris seem to be this way..heck i bought mine from the dealer and it has small issues so it's part of thd deal... im still learning, the worse was scraping the front spoiler but then u learn and u see online they are often, scraped, chipped, broken in other words what I'd say is don't over worry and it will be fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
