Can anyone give me the rear spring specs for the GTC? Free length, wire diameter, number of coils and outside diameter. Thanks for any help. Bob Z.
The spring dimensions are listed in the factory workshop manual. If you really need them, I can look through my restoration notes on individual cars.
Free Length - 423 mm length under static load - 240 mm wire diameter - 12.5 mm OD - 127.5 mm Number of coils - 9.05
I would not buy factory replacement springs. My experience was they sagged very quickly, but having some made, as you seem to be doing, is a smart move. I just spaced mine out, but it does affect the spring rate when you do that.
