Most fans complain about the races starting behind the safety car in the rain as they think it is too boring, and for 2018 as I understand it, wet races will be started as today's was, with a standard start. Fans would rather see cars smashing into each other at the start in the wet, than see 20 cars racing for the entire race apparently
