    Cool video and nice 488. I have to admit, I'm no where near that that particular when it comes to my cars. I used to want everything perfect but I would get too upset with road dings etc which took the joy out of ownership. Now, I enjoy my cars as cars and not collector pieces.

    Sweet R8 BTW, I just sold my 20012. I regret it as it's the best value along with the MP4-12C

    Three suggestions from another obsessed person:

    1. Consider getting a Metro blaster so that you don't have to dry with a towel. This helps preserve the finish.

    2. If you must use a towel, don't use a circular motion when you dry -- keep the motion straight to reduce swirls.

    3. Get a rolling stool to save your knees and hips.

    Great advice, but I just delegate that to the professional detailer (the one you see in video). When he dries he uses a large damp towel in a linear motion. He had just finished a machine polish and was touching up by hand when I filmed. I can't argue with the finished product, he makes her glow!

    Thanks! I completely agree and that's why I use a professional detailer so I don't have to be as aware of all the little imperfections. She always looks perfect to me :)

    And agree on the R8, such a phenomenal performance car. I tracked it for the first time about a month ago and was completely blown away!
