I think the overall style is really nice. However, I hope the interior quality is better than the new Ghibli. I rented one last year at the Nashville airport and I was disappointed at the poor quality of the interior fit and finish. Cheap materials and loose, jiggly switches...

... and more than half of Maserati sales in Europe in July were Levante; 436 out of 830 in total. The Levante is selling well, no doubt about that. What is less positive is that more than 90% of Maserati's sales in Europe are now Ghibli and Levante, with only a handful of the more expensive QP and GT/GC models finding buyers.

Like in other countries, the Levante is outselling all the other models combined. Did you see that two Ferrari 812 Superfast models were registered in Switzerland in August?

If true that's a lot of changes for the entire drivetrain for that platform unless the original was always designed to handle that sort of power? But I rather think the Alfa motor was different enough that it wouldn't couple up well with the Maserati 4WD that integrates very compactly with it's line of motors? Don't know though as I've not looked at them closely to compare?
As I know, until now it was not possible to mount the wider 90º V6 2.9liter engine in the Maserati Ghibli front (the current SQ4 engine has a 60º layout).
Check this site regarding the Ferrari/Maserati and Alfa Romeo engine F154: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_F154_engine What I've heard from my dealers is that the entire Alfieri-project is still not finally decided, but the Alfieri could be the first Maserati with an electric drive (full electric or hybrid).
Thanks. I know the F154 engine is used in the QP, but only as a V8. I was thinking about the possibility of using the F154 V6 version in the Alfieri instead of the F160 V6.
That would be great, would make a lot of sense. I'm in general not a big fan of the F160 engine, especially not as the current top motorization in the Ghibli and Levante. IMO a +500hp model is a must.
+1 ... and the F154 is a better base for competition versions (GT4 and/or GT3) of the Alfieri, which surely will be developed if the model gets launched. ... but that is of course a discussion that should be continued in another thread
